He did his glider instructor rating about a year ago.

(P.S. Small Planes your pic really shows the drag reducing lower incidence of the wing tip compared to the main wing.)

Yes, it looks nice. That way the wingtip stalls through later than the middle of the wing. It doesn't tip to the side, it falls into the spin more difficult.

You might bump into Jan and his glider with you hanging around all those high Teck fields? Have you a tow cable in the back?

I don't have cable. I followed the Cessna near me for 3 days until he finally found an airport where we could finally land. A350dabest mentioned this too.

Edit: After updating the app, suddenly this airport was right in front of us and we were finally able to land.
