What a great time, this model had two variants in the early 60s, CV 880, and 990, both of which could reach incredible speeds at that time, 990km/h top speed, and which was later replaced by the legendary DC-8. What great memories!

Looks like a Convair 880/990 in Google Earth, the site is much changed from back in Aerofly time. Looked it up, a 990 with twin Küchemann carrot speed pods on the wing trailing edges to smooth out the total cross sectional area of the plane in accordance with Area Ruling to reduce transonic drag. The Convairs were exceptionally fast airliners.
