KAI TAK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

This is without a doubt one of my favorite airports and, despite it being closed, I still watch real videos, especially those produced by Just Planes, because the approaches to runway 13 were truly sensational to watch and the inclinations in the turns often exceeded 30 degrees...
This week I was lucky enough to find this airport for my simulator (Aerofly fs4) and I immediately started having fun!
Congratulations to the pilots who operated at this airport, giving us beautiful scenes and fantastic landings.
Many thanks to IPACS and its members for yet another wonderful contribution.

I will always remember that day in July 73, when I landed there, it was not on a Coronado like in this video, but similar images, including a DC-8 62 via Bombay. Memories that will remain unforgettable and impressive.

The banked right side view into people’s homes on turning finals was glorious but the huge impression was feeling the brakes and reverse thrust while tearing down the runway with waves and ships visible out the windows. Sometimes the planes did end up floating in the harbour!

True, it really was a fascinating and challenging approach. There is a photo of a Boeing 747 that appears to be tilted at more than 45 degrees, very impressive!
Big hug.
