You're probably thinking it's crazy to fly this route between South Africa and Singapore with a Brazilian airline, but yes, this is a real flight!
Throughout 2015 and 2016, the Boeing 777-300ERs of the wonderful TAM Linhas Aéreas completed their landing and takeoff cycles for D-Checks, a mandatory type of maintenance in which the aircraft is virtually completely disassembled—including some sections of the fuselage—and all components are tested, many of which are replaced. This maintenance usually lasts weeks, and only a few dedicated maintenance centers in the world have the capacity and necessary certification to perform it. One of these maintenance centers is in Singapore, and it was chosen by TAM to perform D-Checks on its Boeing 777s.
If you need sources, just search for a record of one of TAM's B77Ws in WSSS on JetPhotos. And if you want to delve even deeper into the data, you can search the ANAC (Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency) VRA website.
And if you see more impressive flights here on my profile, remember, I NEVER take flights that didn't happen in real life. I value simulation at the highest level.
