How about letting go of the autopilot?

How about letting go of the autopilot?
As I always say, performing this type of approach completely manually and with total safety is something that makes me extremely happy and gratified, because it takes many years of study and practice to reach this level.
When I first got my computer and simulator, I couldn't even get the runway centerline right. Many times I would land and let the plane veer off the runway, and that made me feel very bad... but I knew things would only get better after many years of training, and here is the result.
Always remember that the autopilot greatly assists pilots, but on the other hand, if you don't practice doing it manually, you can have a hard time if the airport doesn't have or isn't operating ILS, or if the aids are inoperative.
Let's practice and be happy!
