Hoover Dam Aerobatics in External View (1080p60 HD).

Please watch (or sample) the three videos in this order: fly-by, cockpit, and then this one, external view. This third video uses the external view of the aerobatics at Hoover Dam.

If you have an opinion about which of the three views is best, and why -- or about the advantages and disadvantages of each -- please post a comment.

Detalhes

  • Damn! :) Each of those camera views has it's ups and downs. Approaching/ stable flight is great while in cockpit view, while doing aerobatics switching to fly-by or external view really then captures the moment. That's the longer but beautiful task of editing. Btw since you've been posting lately, I've given the Corsair a flew flights, incredible plane!

    • I agree with your assessment -- the best solution is to select the different viewpoints as you record the video, but that is a real pain. You have to know exactly when to switch from one to the next, as well as to how pan and zoom in the different modes that allow it.

I have a list of advantages and disadvantages for each of the views which I will post eventually. I wanted other members to be able to comment first. Thanks for chipping in!

And yes, the Corsair is my favorite (as indicated by my avatar). The F4U handles beautifully and a the rendering of the internal and external views of it in FS 2 are so good, and the flight dynamics so realistic, that I feel like I am flying the real thing. What else can you ask from a sim?
