I played on a 1050ti on a 2k monitor at medium settings. I think a GTX1660 will work just as well but I don't know how "smoothly" it will.

A really good solution would be to create a solo mode for such fans and let them fly on their own.

If I understand your problem correctly, then try setting the joystick axis panning settings not opposite "Pan" but opposite "Look".
