Barcelona is one of my favorites. Paris Charles de Gaulle (LFPG) and Athens (LGAV) too.

nickg posted the thread Question out of curiosity, about wind turbines.
It came to my attention that while flying above wind turbines in some areas, they were rotating. In the past (at least one month ago) I remember that I had never seen wind turbines rotating in Aerofly FS Global.
Was it added recently, or always there and just didn't happen because of low wind in weather conditions?
Actually, it is the only moving thing we see on the ground (except landing airplanes), and I find it a nice step towards higher ground realism.
nickg replied to the thread Why Aerofly Is the Best Mobile Flight Simulator Right Now.
I totally agree. Realism is the best, and as far as I know, it has the most complete and interactive cockpits of all.
Totally worth every cent.

This is true, I also prefer manual landing, checking only the alignment indicators on the PFD (vertical and lateral alignment "diamonds") until I am close to the airport and then I do everything visually
nickg replied to the thread Runway alignment issue.
I always prefer to disconnect the autopilot and land manually at final approach, but I noticed it also at other airports when I had set conditions to thick fog and tried an auto-land with ILS CATIII. Sometimes it is just half a meter from the center line (not a big issue) but sometimes it's more.
nickg replied to the thread How Do You Create Your Flight Plans on Mobile?.
I use the FlyCharts app on mobile, that is free and always updated with the latest AIRAC and Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro on iPad, like in real flights and aircrafts. Then I create the flight plan manually in the FMC.
But Aerofly isn't updated with the latest AIRAC, so it doesn't find some waypoints, and I have to skip them (not always so safe), I wish it had a method to update the AIRAC ourselves, like other simulators do.
Update: I have started creating my own flight planner app (some code on my…
nickg replied to the thread A320/321/NEO landing flaps.
138 should be normal for an average-loaded Airbus (even the A380). As 777Driver suggested, post a screenshot of the aircraft's weights.
Do you land opposite to the wind or with tail wind? (we always land opposite to the wind)
It could be a bug, for now try to set auto-thrust with selected speed to something slightly higher.
nickg replied to the thread A320/321/NEO landing flaps.
To use flaps 3 for landing, without "flaps too low" warnings, you must set flaps CONF3 in the MCDU -> PERF, APPR phase and also enable LDG FLAP 3 in the GPWS section of the overhead panel (it is at its left side). See the screenshots.
nickg replied to the thread A380 TCAS.
On the A380 we do not activate TCAS there, we activate it through the FMS.
On the FMS click on FMS1 -> SURV and then change standby to auto and enable TA/RA.
