What about trying adaptive vsync? No frames sent above 60 fps and variable below 60 fps. I use that and have vsync disabled in FS2 settings.

Can you see "display file location"? Use the location when you click "From computer".
¿Puedes ver "mostrar la ubicación del archivo"? Utilice la ubicación al hacer clic en "Desde el equipo".

We have delayed the airplane for now as we are not satisfied yet with the engine physics and the sound. So please give us more time.

A normal FS2 route does not work well in Switzerland, it sets up a long 10 mile finals at 2,000 feet above the destination, this often involves flying through nearby mountains. Picking one's own waypoints and planning the descent manually is far more enjoyable anyway.

It is a bit lighter than these two images suggest, it is also of quite low contrast.
There was a consensus in the mobile forum a while back which favoured that look. The idea was that the eye adapted perfectly to night darkness, I've done a lot of night flying and the view outside was always pitch black in rural areas, must be because of the instrument lights and of any occasional chart or plan checks preventing perfect dark adaptation in the eye.
Built up areas can have a diffused illumination from street and industrial lights reflecting off cloud or mist/fog.
With the adjustable cockpit and instrument lighting in PC FS2 it might be possible to adjust the graphics card or monitor settings to have a prefered environmental darkness and still have very good instrument visibility. -
Steam seems to do screen captures in 8 bit/256 colour. The original quality is smoother. This is JFK 31L. The inside image is good as the ambient cockpit and instrument group lighting is adjustable. Outside aeroplane lights switches also work.
The outside artifical lighting gives runway edge lights and faintly illuminated 3d buildings with lit windows. There is no night lighting menu and streets, roads and taxiways are dark.

I'm very happy with the published improvements in the iOS FS2. Switzerland is a bit soft in my old mini 2 iPad but the dusk and night effects are great and the partially working nav-aids are a step up from iOS FS.
Android FS1 is actually close ignoring the time of day change. I have Switzerland now in iOS FS, FS1 in android and PC and 2 versions of FS2 (iOS and PC, ignoring beta programs).
iOS FS is so handy!, it's my old favourite. -
It's android 7.1.1 on my Pixel C. No word on when they will release android FS2. They are busy on PC it seems.

The normally disappointing Berne scenery looks much, much better with the autogen trees turned completely off. The buildings are flat photos and trees kill them and ruin the attractive complex hills and the bends of the steeply banked Aare river.
A couple of propper bridges would help a lot. -
I use Oakland airport many more times than SFO. Some moored ships on the run into runway 12 would also be nice. The museum aircraft carrier could be useful with appropriate winds selected.
A grid of night street lights??? -
It would help to give the version number and release date in your review, the early release updates are frequent and a review becomes obsolete rapidly. The sim performance is also affected by the chosen sim' settings and the power of the PC used.
There is automatic descent with the 'Route' option of the autopilot. -
Thanks for the link to "FS1", a forum section previously known as "FS" which is not visible on my iOS or Android mobiles anymore. Is there a way to view this normally or is it in an archieved record somewhere? I had an enquiry in here (FS2) about using FS/1 IPACS shop pay-planes inside the relatively new Steam FS1, unfortunately without solid advice. I'll search that forum now.
Force feedback providing trim feel would be very nice. Speed and power changes could be much more natural. Rudder trim feedback in multi-engine planes would be really interesting. -

jk1895 thanks for that revealing post, I was totally unaware of those add-ons and I suppose if any if them work in steam then the official IPACS payware has a good chance of working.
The big Ford taildragger plane is really interesting and the solid scenery objects look really good. The well defined dam walls, radio masts and the visually domineering wind turbines must transform runs up and down the alpine valleys.
Where did these add-ons come from? It's unfortunate that the FS forum has been retired with FS still on sale.
There is no Beechcraft Baron in the Steam FS and it's not one of the pay add-ons, any ideas?
I agree on more planes, can't have too many. I have the Beech Duchess in iOS FS mobile. I love the training IFR screens velcro pieces stuck all over the instrument panel, a screens in situ option would be fun(!). -
Thanks HiFlyer, don't mean FS 2 planes, the original FS has nice originals such as the Beechcraft Duchess basic piston twin for sale in the FS section of the online Aero shop. Old FS is available in optical disk, online and through Steam. The FS additional pay aircraft are available on line but there is no mention if they are compatible with Steam FS. I have heard that mixing non Steam and Steam software can give problems.
They can be seen in the IPACS Home section at the bottom of this page. -
WOW indeed, just got NYC and it is amazingly good. I cannot believe how smooth it is on a 4.3 GHz anniversary pentium G3258 (2 cores, no hyperthreading) with an overclocked GTX950ti graphics card on 1080 non VR. Maxxed out it just gives an occasional burp when looking out sideways at low level, it really is some achievement IPACS! The shadows!!
Well well done.
