Have you converted the inf files to tfw yet using the inf2tfw application?

It looks like either your bat file isn't correct or there is something within your TMC file that is causing the error. Take a look at the tm log and it should give you some direction here.
Take note on how you create the run command.
Try it by using direct run from command prompt to rune out issues with your created .bat also.

Just try with the wiki tuto. Put BMP files and inf files from Fset in input aerial images. Create my TMC files (with decimal geocoordinates) and batch file (same name TMC file and noted in the batch). But when double click batch files it says "Error initializing aerofly FS2 Geoconvert! See tm.log file." Any idea?
I'm going to close this thread, can you please post a new thread with this same exact question so that it can be tracked easier by everyone?

Greetings Aerofly FS2 Flight Simulator Community,
We are pleased to inform you that the new geoconvert tool has been released to the public. There is also a new download section added to the forum; this new section is called (created enough) “Downloads”, and is available to all registered forum users.
You will notice that this new section will make it easier to find published downloads moving forward.
Simply locate your selection, click on it, and click on the download box to the right.
You will also notice that the SDK has been broken up into separate downloads to make it easier if you just need a portion of the package. You will also notice some additional repaint kits for you as a bonus.
The geoconvert tool is located within the “SDK Tools” package.
Be sure to check out our official Wiki: https://www.aerofly.com/aerofly_fs_2/dokuwiki/ to find detailed instructions on how to use this new scenery creation tool.
Happy Geoconverting !

You can also make a desktop shortcut from the root exe located in the bin64 folder of Aerofly and add the parameter to the shortcut you want for VR and no parameter for the shortcut you don't want to start in VR...

And of course, this is why I brought up the subject. The developers probably have dedicated machines, custom startups and all sorts of other coolness that might mask what the issue looks like from the simple user perspective.
Hence we have to give a nudge now and then.
I'm black and blue from all of the "nudges"

My response to you was merely just an independent solution that I can confirm works if you should so choose to use the suggestion, nothing more.

Mornin.
I see no available field
<[string8][extra_user_folder][]>
in my main.mcf file
So, I can add nothing (within the brackets []) to nothing that exists.
Are you trying to say we should ADD the field first with the adaptation for the path we require?
If so, I assume you have no preference as to where in the main.mcf this line should reside?
e.g.
.
.
<[string8][aircraft][c172]>
<[string8][aircraft_repaint][]>
<[string8][extra_user_folder][E:\Program Files\AeroFly Scenery]>
<[tmsettings_flight][flight_setting][]
.
.
Also, if the above is correct, can we add more than one of these lines so we can "arrange" our sceneries and thereafter more easily share them?
Forget the last question IF as I think you said that AFS2 will scan for sub-directories of sceneries. A famtastic idea BTW lads and lasses.
Many thanks in advance.

Are you running Aerofly FS2 in Beta version? Make sure that you have Aerofly FS2 at the latest version, it will automatically be in the main.mcf file, you should not add it manually.

Aerofly FS2 relies more on GPU rather than CPU for overall horsepower but it should benefit some from the extra cores and clock speed. Also, Aerofly uses CPU cores for specific functions. You will see some improvement but not as much as if you upgrade your GPU to a GTX 1080Ti.

Aerofly FS2 can easily be added to Oculus Home. The first thing that you need to do is add the parameter "-othervr" to the load options (right click Aerofly FS2 in your Steam library and go into preferences), then make a batch file running the exe from the Aerofly bin64 folder, use the free application "bat to exe", find a free Oculus application and install it and delete all of its folder contents then place the created exe into that folder in Oculus folder. Then when you run the application in Oculus Home it runs Aerofly.
You can also change all of the applications icons so that you can see the Aerofly icon on Oculus Home as well.
This works well.
For the sound, i'm not too sure what you are doing there but all of the default settings transfer the sound perfectly into the headset, then when you are not using the Rift the sound goes right into external speakers.

Yes, yesterday Prime day at Amazon it was selling for $399 with a $100 Amazon credit on top of that with free shipping.
I thought briefly about it but was told by someone that knows more than me that improvement are on the way. Nothing specific was said, but my birthday and Christmas might be a good time to add one to my wish list.
Regards,
Ray
The next Oculus release is in two years from what i've seen.
