Ich habe eine sehr schnelle (2000er) Internetleitung und auch bei mir hat es länger gedauert, ca. 2,5 Stunden.
Ich habe den Taskmanager geöffnet und herausgefunden, dass das Laufwerk, auf dem installiert wird, der Flaschenhals ist.
Die Installation startet bereits während des Downloads und die Geschwindigkeit hängt dann nicht vom Server sondern von der Schreibgeschwindigkeit des Laufwerkes ab. Dabei ist grundsätzlich eine SSD zu bevorzugen.

Ich kann bestätigen, dass meine CH texturen einen Absturz verursachen. Kaum sind sie weg geht der Sim. Damit ist alles kaputt
... Nun ja, alles kaputt ist es nicht, aber vorerst hemmt das den Spielspaß. Die Standart-Szenerien sind ja so weit schon ganz ok.
Ich bin sicher, das Ipacs auf das Problem reagieren und eine Lösung finden wird...

I have to face several CTD when sending the plane to those regions with user-made ground-images, eg in the Netherlands when I use the Orbx-Images.
Anybody else? - After removing all images in the Documentary-Folder the sim runs smoothly.....

Ich habe mehrere Abstürze registriert in den Regionen, in denen ich User-gemachte Image-Bodendateien verwendet habe, so z. B. in den Niederlanden, wo ich
die Orbx-Images aus dem Addon verwendet hatte. Nach dem Entfernen dieser Images im Dokumenten-Ordner hörten die Abstürze auf.
Hat noch jemand diese Erfahrungen gemacht?
Davon mal abgesehen Glückwunsch zu diesem gelungenen Update!!!

Nun ja, wenn man z. B. die Orbx Szenerie für die Niederlande schon in AF2 hatte, kann man die "Luftbilder" aus dem Scenery-Ordner in AF4 hineinkopieren, dann hat man dort detailierte Bodenbilder....

Regarding the first external videos on Youtube I was quite sceptical ..... The objects seemed not to be state of the art, ground textures did not convince me etc....
Nevertheless something "inside me" said "Give it a try" and so I spend 67 Euro for the bundle....
.... and i do not regret any cent of it!!!!
I see a lot of efforts put into this new version, e.g. cultivation in a lot more countries than before, the houses look better than in the previous version, windmills and high-voltage-pilons all over the map, a smoother performance than before, the sims starts very quickly once all new files are registered, my All-TIme-Favourite-Airplane Ju 52 etc.......
Keep going and give us more hi-res-ground-textures and interesting addons. And maybe 3d party developers will follow - who knows.
Once again I love this sim.
P.S.: User created ground images work perfectly in this version

Each sim - especially a flight sim - has it's own advantages.
Aerofly 2 runs very smooth, it's helicopters are working fine, the user's addons work without crashing the sim, the program starts very quickly, the scenery is also quickly loaded, the flight model can be learned in a quarter of an hour, some ground-textures are extraordinary beautiful....
I also use MSFS2020 but I keep changing programs, depending on my mood ...
I have decided to make another "Promo-Vid" and to upload it on Youtube

I have solved the problem a few minutes later so I deleted my post.
I overread that important little hint to delete that file "main.mcf" in the Documents-Folder of Aerofly.
So no more big shadows while flying.

hmmm.... when fall starts fog starts too and helis are not allowed to fly .....
