Nice one! Thanks

Hi, I was wondering would it be possible to add night lights to some of the helipads. It would look so much better at night if some were lit up. Especially large areas like the big one in New York?
Or just some blinking landing light or fixed little red lights to some on top of builds? Maybe it's not possible.

The profi mode can be switched in the aircraft selection menu, underneath the text description.
Profi mode just disables all stabilization
Thank you Jetpack.
Please pass on to everyone concerned with this that they've done a stunning job!! It flies beautifully and feels great. Stunning graphics and smooth.
Also I have to add that in VR it's the best. At this speed you can really take in the scenery and the VR hands are wonderful. Really reactive! You feel fully in control of the helicopter down to the slightest movement. Well done all.

Think I'm missing something. Love it but I don't see any easy or pro flight choice. So far I'm just setup for joystick and throttle. Flys fantastic. I've no idea what to set up the other controls with.
Also you mention loads of helipads. Seems like only a select few appear on the map until you click in an area. They take some finding
Haven't found any in Denver.

I guess it's not appearing until about 6pm GMT? Seems to be the usual with steam.

The smaller a helicopter the harder to fly usually...
Gulp!

Yikes I hadn't realised just how small it is!!
Also thanks for the great video.

Best to ask on the Orbx forum. As I did:
https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/16…n-whats-coming/
Concerning TE GB all that was said was "TE GB for AFS2 is ported from the P3D version." So apparently it will be coming one day. However.... John Venema also postes this: "Ultimately though, we are a business. Yes, I am on record saying our AFS2 efforts are a long-term R&D investment, and this has been ongoing for over two years now. However at some point the R&D has to pay back its investment and this has not been the case with AFS2. For that reason we have recently re-focused back to our core P3D platform and expanded into XP11 which has proven to be profitable in terms of units sold and the XP community embracing Orbx products.
Having said all that, I still believe in AFS2 as providing the best VR experience of any sim platform out there, and for this reason we still believe it is worth porting regions and airports to it in the long term. Just don't expect us to be so prolific about it because we cannot expend too much effort without any reward.
I spent a day in Germany with the IPACS team about six weeks ago and they showed me some pretty exciting stuff to come in the sim, so please don't write it off just yet!"
In short: Orbx has taken a step back when it comes to AFS2.
Concerning aircraft: right now there aren't any developers (companies) working on planes for AFS2. The ones who tried stopped working on it because it was too complicated (also because the SDK is lacking options).
Now that's bad news! Taking a step back? They've hardly made a good go of taking a step forward.

Nothing on there for self employed.

It's funny, I come here twice a day to see if it's out
Tee hee That's the problem. Me too! If they just said " Bog off till Christmas" I'd happily go away and play the game as is. But constantly thinking 'is it now? It's Fall now' messes with my head

This looks amazing.
It seems like the X-Plane version is scenery only, no airports. (Which makes sense as you already have default airports in XP).
I wonder what their plan is for airports in the AFS version.
Good point! I hadn't thought of that.

I don't think they even mentioned FS 2 in their announcement. They said the P3D version would be available later this year.
Their site said this:
"We always intended to release TrueEarth Great Britain as three separate regions, just like we did for the original UK FTX Regions. However, we cannot release them based on geographical boundaries as with did for the FTX regions, because the only correct way to distribute mesh based sceneries for X-Plane is using 1-degree tiles. For this reason we have split GB into South, Central and North as you can see in the map. We will also split TrueEarth GB for P3Dv4 and AFS2 in the same way to keep the product line consistent between simulators."
I guess AFS2 is Aerofly FS2

UK south looks stunning. I'll want them all when it comes to Aerofly.
