We proudly present the Antares 21E self-launch electric glider! This is a state of the art glider which was developed in cooperation with Lange Aviation and is coming soon to Aerofly FS!
The all electric retractable motor enables this glider to perform a self-launch and climb with up to 4 m/s to a height of 3500m above the field. Thanks to the high aspect wings and very sleek aerodynamics the Antares 21E has a very impressive glide ratio of 57.5. In the cockpit the glider features a wide screen display with a moving map, airspeed and altitude tapes, an artificial horizon, real time wind indications and a lot more. The glider also features flaperons along the whole trailing edge of the wing which the pilot can deflect up symmetrically for high speed and down for low speed and it also has a tail wheel that is steerable with rudder.
Our aircraft in the sim features audio voice outputs from the real aircraft such as "Spoilers unlocked" or "Landing gear retracted" when you do something you're not supposed to and realistic sounds for the engine and pylon actuation based on real world recordings.
