Hi Carlos,
try this:
extract the attached file example.zip into a new folder.
Start af5-makemaps.exe by double click.
You should get the following window:
Press ENTER
Now you see the ttx files.
Please notice:
The texture file must be a 24-Bit-Bitmap (.bmp) (it has to be a square power of 2, eg.? 64 x64, 128 x 128, 256 x 256, 512 x 512, 1024 x1024 bit).
The color files must have the name <filename>.color.bmp!
The preview file must be preview.png (my example has 1024 x 768 bit).
Now you can put your texture files into the new folder and it should work.

you are right, the problem is in the RC 8 models.
Change the folder name from FunCub to funcub and in the folder the file name from FunCub.tmd to funcub.tmd, then it should work.
With the FunCub-Float it should be enough to change the folder name from FunCub-float to funcub-float.

Hi Cliff,
The user models for the RC 7 and RC 8 are created on a Windows PC. You cannot assume that everyone who creates models for the aerofly also has an iMac and can also test the models on an iMac.
For example, I don't have an iMac!
Have you tried the changes Jan suggested in post number 11?

Der "Retro" lässt sich auch mit der Winde hochziehen,
das sieht sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig aus (siehe Fotos).= O.: S.
Das habe ich auch mit meinem "realen" Retro sehr erfolgreich gemacht.
Beim ersten Retro lag nur der Hochstarthaken weiter hinten.

He found the previous versions as 'too powerful', now both versions should correspond more to the original.

- Es gab ein Problem beim vergrößern / verkleinern des Modells. Dies ist mit diesem Update behoben.
- Das Modell kann jetzt sowohl auf dem Wasser als auch an Land betrieben werden.
- Ausserdem habe ich eine Handstart-Variante hinzugefügt.

Hallo Wolfgang,
das 3-D-Modell ist im RC 7 eine tgc, beim RC 8 eine tmb. Eine Rückwärts-Konvertierung ist nicht vorgesehen.
Die tmc-Datei hat einen anderen Aufbau und der interne Aufbau der ttx-Dateien ist unterschiedlich.
Ob alle Einträge in der tmd abwärts-kompatibel sind kann ich nicht beurteilen.
Es wäre jedenfalls ein erheblicher Aufwand, das Modell für den RC 7 erneut zu 'bauen'.
Ich werde keine Modelle mehr für den RC 7 erstellen, denn der RC 8 hat auch erhebliche Vorteile gegenüber dem RC 7:
Auf meinem Rechner habe ich Rc 7 und RC 8.
Test-Modell: Meine DO 24k
Beim RC 7 dauert das Laden des Modells ca. 95 Sekunden , beim RC 8 ca. 2!
Beim RC 7 habe ich ca. 120 FPS, beim RC 8 ca. 620!
Hans Wonner hat sich daraufhin auch den RC 8 bestellt und ist vollauf begeistert!
Ausserdem gibt es beim RC 8 einige schöne neue Modelle, u. a. Multicopter und dazu passend eine 4-D-Szenerie 'Rennstrecke Fantasia'.
