  • Thunderbolt A-10 Warthog ('Warzenschwein')

    The model Thunderbolt A-10 Warthog is a particularly agile earth combat aircraft with short take-off and landing characteristics.


    Functions:




    Special functions:

    • When the landing gear is extended, you can feel a clear air resistance, as well as when the brake flaps are extended.
    • The turbines are mixed with the rudder, similar to the engines on my multi-engine seaplanes.
    • When the cockpit is opened, the boarding ladder is also extended.


    The 3-D model is based on a 3ds model from IPACS from the year 2001, which I adapted for the RC 8.

    Das Modell Thunderbolt A-10 Warthog ('Warzenschwein') ist ein besonders wendiges Erdkampfflugzeug mit Kurzstart- und Landeeigenschaften.


    Funktionen:



    Besonderheiten:

    • Beim Ausfahren des Fahrwerks spürt man einen deutlichen Luftwiderstand, ebenso beim Ausfahren der Bremsklappen.
    • Die Turbinen sind mit dem Seitenruder gemischt, ähnlich wie die Motoren bei meinen mehrmotorigen Wasserflugzeugen.
    • Beim Öffnen des Cockpits wird zusätzlich die Einstiegsleiter ausgefahren.


    Das 3-D-Modell basiert auf einem 3ds-Modell von IPACS aus dem Jahr 2001, welches ich für den RC 8 angepasst habe.

  • RC7 Übernahme von angepassten Modellen

    Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, geht es um modifizierte Modelle aus dem RC 7, also Daten aus dem Ordner aircraft_mod.

    Das funktioniert sehr wohl, wenn man, wie von Jet-Pack beschrieben, die .tmc-Datei anpasst.


    Hier ein Beispiel für die Do-X:

  • Wie aktivieren?

    Hi Rick,

    I have some questions and some information for you.

    At first, did you already build models like 'relevant electric foamies that most new fliers want' ? If so, which tool did you use?


    To your questions:

    1. Add a new model to RC8

    Wherefrom do you get new models for the RC8?


    2. Change a model from RC7 to RC8

    Do you have own models for the RC7 which you would like to convert them?

    If so, please send me one and I will make an example for you (with an English description what to do).


    3. Modify an existing model?

    For simple modifications you can use the model editor from the RC8, like in RC7.

    Otherwise you must edit the <modelname>.tmd file using a text editor and make the changes.


    4. Build a new model?

    You need the

    • General content converter ( to convert textures, sounds, and so on )

    and

    • 3D Modelling plugins for 3DS Max, Cinema 4D and AC3D

    from the SDK Tools:

    This download includes all tools from the Aerofly FS 2 SDK
    admin

    and one of the following modeling tools:


    • Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016

    • Maxon Cinema 4D Version 17

    • AC3D Version 8 ( currently for airplane modelling only )


    The output must be a <modelname>.tgi file. In addition you need the texture files you used for the painting of the models.

    The content converter will make a <modelname>.tmb out of the tgi file and <name>.ttx files out of the texture files.


    The <modelname>.tmc and <modelname>.tmd files you should take from a similar model of the original aircraft folder of the RC8 and make the necessary adjustments manually.


    Hope this will help you for the moment.

  • User Modelle RC8

    Hallo Michael,

    bei der Installation des RC 8 wird dieser standardmäßig in C:\Programme\aerofly RC 8 installiert.



    Dabei wird automatisch ein User-Ordner in Dieser PC\Dokumente\aerofly RC 8 angelegt.



    In diesen gehören die User-Modelle.


    Bei einer Standard-Installation wird auch in der main.mcf der User-Pfad automatisch richtig erstellt.


    Ich hoffe, Du wirst jetzt alles richtig machen können. ;)

  • User Modelle RC8

    Hallo Michael,


    das sieht eigentlich gut aus!

    Der RC 8 ist ein eigenständiges Programm. Im Gegensatz zum RC 7 ist der RC 8 ein 64-bit-Programm, daher ist es korrekt, dass die Programmverknüpfung des RC 8 in den Ordner Programme /aerofly RC 8/ bin64 zur aerofly_rc_8.exe Datei führt.

    Das einzig merkwürdige ist, dass bei Dir Aerofly RC 8 statt aerofly RC 8 steht.

    Die tm.log findest Du unter: Dieser PC > Lokaler Datenträger (C) >Benutzer > Michael > Dokumente > aerofly RC 8

    Dort findest Du auch den Config Ordner mit der main.mcf.

    In den Ordner aircraft gehören meine User-Modelle.

    Prüfe jetzt bitte einmal, ob in der main.mcf der richtige User-Modell-Pfad eingetragen ist.


    Zur Installation des Upgrades kann ich Dir leider nichts sagen, da solltest Du Dich, wie von Jürgen vorgeschlagen, an IKARUS wenden.

    Die Lizenz-Datei heißt beim RC 8 license.tml und befindet sich im Ordner license. Der RC 8 hat nichts mehr mit den lic-Dateien zu tun.


    Ich hoffe, Du kommst mit diesen Informationen weiter. Falls nicht, stelle bitte einmal die Datei main.mcf hier rein.

    Hallo Michael,

    dass die as-staggerduck ohne as erscheint ist richtig, denn der im Modell-Menü angezeigte Name kommt aus der as-staggerduck.tmc:

    <[string8][DisplayName][StaggerDuck]>


    Das Modell as-goose wird dementsprechend als Grumman Goose angezeigt.

    <[string8][DisplayName][Grumman Goose]>


    Wie TomC RLG bereits geschrieben hat, solltest Du die User-Modelle nicht in den Programm-Ordner stellen.


    Bist Du sicher, dass der Pfad zu den User-Modellen in der Datei main.mcf korrekt eingetragen ist?

    Schau Dir hierzu bitte einmal diesen Thread an:

    Wie aktivieren?


    Dort habe ich beschrieben, wie meine User-Modelle installiert werden müssen.

    Hallo Michael,

    interessanter wäre die linke Seite Deines Bildes, damit man sehen kann, in welchem Ordner sich die User-Modelle befinden. ;)

    Ausserdem noch einige Fragen:

    Hast Du die aktuelle Version? http://dl1.aerofly.com/aerofly_rc_8_update_v8.00.19.01.exe

    Wo hast Du die Modelle heruntergeladen?

    Wenn Du die aus dem Downloadbereich des RC 8 nimmst, muss die zip-Datei lediglich in den User-Ordner aerofly RC 8 entpackt werden.

    Wenn Du die Modelle von der Ikarus-Seite genommen hast, ist die Prozedur so wie auf deren Seite beschrieben.

    Ich hab alle Modelle aus dem RC 8-Download-Bereich nach dem Upload noch einmal heruntergeladen und bei mir installiert, damit ich sicher sein konnte, dass alles funktioniert! :)
