Ridge lift is modelled allright, but also not great. In real life ridge lift is also unpredictable and sometime unstable. In Aerofly this is too simplified (as far as I know, because since Condor came out with VR, I've never flown gliders in Aerofly anymore) So to say that AFS2 is the best sailplane FS, then you've never seen Condor2. Don't get me wrong, I still love Aerofly, but only motorised flight. In my case flying the Robin or the Falke for (procedural) training purposes. For flying gliders there is no sensible alternative to Condor2.

The Robin to me is the best model in AFS2, but in real life also it's a dream to fly.

The 29 is modelled well. Thermals on the other hand, are 'not very' realistic compared to the one specific glider sim on the market.

Kryz's work was bashed time and time again. His models were more often than not a simple rendering of the aircraft, but the amount of abuse he endured was undeserved. I totally get why he stopped coming around an contrubiting.

I have a slightly impopular opinion, but I think that IPACS actually kind of bugged up with all the possibilities to make our own sceneries. That makes the market for companies like ORBX smaller.

Yep, that's Hawaii!

It's really difficuly to keep waiting when you don't know what you're waiting on.
Really a very good first step would be multiplayer and VATSIM support. Maybe even more than local ATC, since that ai is always limited compared to human interaction. The new ATC mod is something I won't be installing since it sounds mostly like it was in FSX, and as stated above - it's complicated. In real life I do enjoy some good RT interaction, but sims just don't cut it for me. So I hope for something amazing, or vatsim

This is just... wow. That level of detail is amazing. Payware grade material for sure.

No reason to bash krzysk1's work. He does this with no other motive than to help the community. If you don't like it, fine. But is it really neccesary to say that his work is bad? There are loads of users who appreciate his work.

I like. If gliding all together would be better in AFS2 I'd play a lot less condor. AFS2 is such a more pleasant environment to be in.

I'm afraid me and 22T are not going to make it flying over there. (22T is my ASW20)
BTW, here you see how great the Netherlands scenery for AFS2 is, this is near EHVK looking north.

Fokker, since that's a JF classic.

That begs for some high speed ridge running in the ASG29!

The airbrake in the MB339 does not seem to add drag any longer?

I must readily admit that I would most likely not buy another US Scenery. UK, Germany, Austria or France I'd buy in a heartbeat. TE-NL I bought the day it was released. I'm just not interested in flying in the US.
-
TE GB will be great, but TE NL and Helgoland were a disappointment sales wise, so I gather. Maybe because we can make good sceneries ourselves? Does the possibility to make user generated content at a high level, bite us in the back here?

The description on the JF site reads like a near fully functional aircraft!

you can display any desktop application in VR if you have an oculus rift. You get a screen you can resize and position free in your sim, so it should be possible to display any digital charts.
How does that work? I want to display XCsoar when flying gliders in VR...
