Thank you Jeff.
I do not see a clear algorithm how to predetermine the blinking frequency for the ON/OFF period, but I found some useful parameters which I like to show to other users.
Enter below numbers into this example:
// 1/time factor, ON factor, OFF factor
<[vector4_float32][flashing][1 2 28 0]>
1 2 28 0 generates 1 sec on, 5 sec off
1 4 14 0 generates 2 sec on, 4 sec off
2 4 14 0 generates 0.5 sec on, 2 sec off
0.5 1 7 0 generates 6 sec on, 8 sec off
0.5 4 28 0 generates 2 sec on, 10 sec off
Cheers,
Thomas

Hi GACSavannah,
you can post the pictures directly here.
To circumvent the 1MB limit you could do this:
Download the free GIMP 2.10: https://www.gimp.org/
Make your screenshot as big as possible (1920x1080).
- File / export as
- select jpeg
- change quality to 88
- export
This will reduce the full picture size to about 850 kB ans still look really nice.
Now choose Insert Original.

Thomas

I do often notice that GeoConvert lightens or reduces contrast in the images. ...
You may want to try using Photoshop / Paint.NET to darken or increase contrast the stitched images first, then let GeoConvert run.
I guess a feature that lets you tweak brightness and contrast before GeoConvert runs would be cool. The planned features never end!
Hi Nick,
yes I also suffer from washed out colors. So normally I increase the brightness by 10 and the contrast by 20 with Photoshop. Unluckily your chosen PNG format works VERY slowly with photoshop; probably TIF (which also handles Alpha channels) would be the better choice here. The fact that it does not compress the picture is not so severe, as after geoconversion this does not play a role anymore.
On the other hand it would be cool if Aeroscenery could do the brightness/contrast correctiondirectly, with the two (adjustable) parameters.
Until this is implemented, maybe you could make the picture format selectable?
PS: did you also saw my suggestion how to recognize if ceoconvert has finished?
Cheers,
Thomas

Wow, that flight is really spectacular!!

Hi Nick,
I was experimenting, how to recognize if Geoconvert is ready and shows the green message "Conversion complete"
I ran this cmd comand:
tasklist /NH /V /FI "imagename eq aerofly_fs_2_geovonvert.exe"
When geoconvert is active, it produced 1.800.156 k Memory usage
After showing the green message "Conversion complete"
it dropped to 971.804 k Memory usage.
So my idea would be, to check the Geoconvert memory usage load in a loop. If it drops significantly, then kill Geoconvert as it is ready.

Thomas

Hi IPACS,
I experimented a lot with the light blinking feature and realized slow or fast blinking frequencies.
However I failed to do asymmetric blinking (longer off then on) or blinking sequences.
i.e.:
Code
Display More<[file][][phare] <[cultivation][][] <[string8][coordinate_system][lonlat]> <[list_light][light_list][] <[light][element][0] <[vector3_float64][position][9.3656024 41.5951853 13]> <[vector3_float32][color][0.9 0.9 0.9]> <[float32][intensity][99]> //flashing[period, alternate flashing, duration, unused] <[vector4_float32][flashing][10 0.5 20 0]> <[uint32][group_index][0]> > > > >
Can you give two examples how to do so?
1. four seconds on and seven seconds off
2. one sec on, two sec off, one sec on, ten sec off
This would be needed to simulate the blinking sequences of real existing light towers.
Cheers,
Thomas
Had anyone a chance to look at my code and could correct it?

Hello Nick,
thank you for developing v 0.6.
I ran a level 9 tile which works fine. Also the maps and airports are working now with the locale German.
Can you please add also a Level 12 Grid square size?
However I have a problem with a Grid sqare level 14:
It downloaded that single tile in some seconds and then Geoconvert wanted to convert 13377 tiles!!
Please also find the geoconvert log attached:

Hi Arno,
Thank you very much that you programed a solution for elevation into ScenProc.
I do not know, how I could do the slightest culticvation without your program.
You are the hero of flight simulation tools!

Pkaser,
Thank you very much to share your knowledge with us . This might save hours of searching for a solution.

Hi Arno,
please see this link for example areas. (i.E. Las Vegas)

Arno, could you please also include an example of how to convert the height of a building into floors?
Often the height is given, but no floor. So the ideal thing would be to take a floor if available, else a height converted into floors and if nothing of these data are available, then a random floor number. It really would be great if you could show us an example.

This really would be great Arno, thank you very much!

Hi Testchamber,
Rename tm.log to tm.txt, then you can attach it here.

Hi Gooseno1,
when you are longsighted, you will not need glasses for the rift, as you always will have a focus into the distance.
Make a screenshot please of your unsharp ASI. For this, change the AFS2 VR settings to "Show normal view on Main Monitor".
Then you can decide: Is already unsharp in the original or only visible via your rift.
Beside of that: set pixel density in AFS2 to 2.0 and all original oculus settings to default.
Cheers,
Thomas

Bill,
Did you switch off the clouds?

Hi Ken,
which one do you recommend?
How did you connect it to the chair?
