Hey Redtail, great story! Are you flying in VR at all? Gave profil mode another shot today, very rewarding indeed.

Sounds like a great flight. I usually fly the easy mode, just gave profi mode another shot. It's safe to say I feel a bit of motion sickness now. Nice X Plane light work on the helipad!

Sorry to hear that. I only use the headset for flying so i'm in a different scenario. Here's to hoping for in game VR Flight Notes and Moving Map. I didn't test with AF2 but with my regular Odyssey I had no trouble with the controllers dropping out perhaps due to the fact I used a PCIe Bluetooth adapter? On a positive note, how bout them visuals??

Thanks for sharing your experience with the situation. I read that the headset does have a gyro built inside allowing for non base tracking. So I thought you would be the best person to ask! If you ever manage to get past the headset not detected issue, let me know if flight sim is tolerable without tracking.

frui With the idea of sitting still and not have to do much moving around while flying, could you test to see if the Pimax can run Aerofly without the tracking base stations? Perhaps just left and right head movements. I believe I will be getting my headset before the knuckles and base station 2 bundles come out. Knowing if I can temporarily avoid controller and base station purchase would help. I suppose anyone with a regular HTC VIVE could test this, but the Pimax might be different??

@drassaud I thank you for your cultivation that was very great of you! Funny how these things work in terms of timing. I am also glad that ORBX decided to release for free. Hopefully this can attract some other people to give AF2 a chance, meaning more momentum for ORBX DLC involvement.

Very glad to hear you are impressed with the improved image quality. I have yet to try the motion reproduction ( I want to). I usually turn everything besides shadow quality to medium/high when I fly in major cities just for improved fps. A question I've asked other VR forums in the past but no response. Do shadows lag when turning or shaking head while flying dark night environments? This isn't Aerofly, this is all VR games that have dark night environments. I'm thinking this is due to the Odyssey using true black.

Damn, that kinda makes me mad. I personally really only know and use Aerofly.

I run into this problem often when "Minimizing Drawcalls" through MCX (might not be your case). So my temporary work around is just redo and skip Drawcalls for problem models. Unfortunately you are left with alot of ttx. files if you go that route.

Inspired, now I feel like I must channel my inner Da Vinci and give it a try.

Agree favorite place. Switzerland is an OSM data goldmine. Adding Orbx Saanen building textures makes all the autogen towns look great! Ipacs added that heliport on top of the skihill outside of Interlaken and it is breathtaking. Wish R22 had more power for high elevations.

This is absolutely wonderful! Thanks Ken and Danny! I look forward to utilizing this tool.

I have the same issue. The one odd floating building. Also the new landing pad in LA next to the car park/hospital, have a look at the middle/back of the hospital buildings. There's a floating roof and some roof air vents just floating there with no building under them.
You mean San Francisco? I have same issue.

Beautiful area which makes a very fun place to fly! Followed the route and then landed back in Chelan, very fun airport. Thanks again Rodeo for the scenery!

Testing this in and out of the game 6 times, I have come to the conclusion changing "renderTargetScale" from 1.0 to 2.0 does infact reduce "out of the window" shimmering (a bit more pleasant of a view).
Also I was able to read this instrument in the R22 with a bit better clarity. Thanks for the suggestion Dave!

Got out of work early tonight and decided that I could use some signs. They really do help!! I will make some more places in time. Here is the download Signs.zip

Good Ole Walmart. I can attempt some of these but it could be awhile. Starting to overload my own projects.
