I personally think they are a great addition to our scenery. Any motion is good at this point.
Willie Windmill, a distant cousin of Johnny Appleseed, has been planting wind turbines throughout my FSET scenery. I like that. It makes it easy to find some of the remote places that I fly over.

For your personal use you can add them anyplace you have a lat lon. Check the Helgoland tsc file for busum and there must be a hundred or more. You can adjust the speed and orientation. Unfortunately, they do not track into the wind so I just pick the prevailing wind direction.
Copy a section between the > and the >, add it to your tsc, save file, copy the tmb, and supporting files (very few needed) to your places folder where you are working and bingo.
I use to use a balloon that Walt W. uploaded to find my airfieldss when flying vfr. That works but wind turbines are better.
