Question regarding flight school

I was working through flight school tonight.

My perspective is from the outside and rear of the plane. Is this correct or should I be in the cockpit?

When using VR rift controllers do you have to use the keyboard or joystick button to adjust flaps?

The default view in the flight school is from outside but you can switch the camera to the cockpit position using the shortcuts and menus provided.

With the rift controllers you can grip the flap handle and pull it down, you don't need to reach out for the keyboard. Instructions can be found in the wiki.
