Installing Addons on another drive

Forgive me for asking this...I know this has been discussed before and I have tried searching to find this... but how do you install Addons to another drive? My computer by default installs them on the home SSD disk which has very limited space available. I'd like to try some of these superb sceneries becoming available, but need to locate them on my other drive which has a lot more space (and where incidentally Steam and the core program are located). Thanks.

This is how it looks like on my system.

Folder on G drive:

G:\Aerofly FS4\scenery

and in main.mcf:

<[string8][extra_user_folder][G:\Aerofly FS4]>

With the amount of disk space I'm using up with these pretty high res textures, It occurred to me to ask if this additional drive could be a plug in external drive?

Hello Matt - I have my FS4 and add-ons installed on a 4TB external SSD USB drive, with no problems.
