Today I noticed a big black square on the SF Bay Area while flying the F18. When I tried to overpass it, a few more squares popped on the nearest terrain but this time some of them were white (maybe a hole?), with the 3D buildings floating over them. My device is a iPhone 15 Pro with the iOS version up to date and this is the first time I found a bug in the sim. Any advice?

Unfortunately it sometimes happens on the Mac with 10 GB left.

10 GB free? RAM or storage?
My device is new and plenty of free storage.
Also, I noticed this issue to be more present around the hills between Half Moon and San Carlos. It’s a very populated area, with lots of buildings all around.
I suspect it’s a problem with the available RAM or issues while loading terrain textures. -
10 GB free? RAM or storage?
Aerofly uses 6 GB RAM almost always on my 16 GB MacBook Pro (streaming off).
The only exception I know is a 10 GB RAM usage at Tokyo.
I think it’s like Aerofly chooses not to display a square at some moments. Like it happens with taxi lines or something times with lateral clouds. It’s like the program thinks it’s not in sight of the user. Changing the view sometimes displays the area and back to the original view hides it. As if this part is not in sight. It’s a decision not to display it more than out of memory. -
It doesn't seem a FOV related issue, because, as you can see in the screenshots, a few ground patches are missing, but all the 3D assets above them are present.

It doesn't seem a FOV related issue
I feel that a separate FOV is applied to each kind of elements or to each element or to small groups of elements.
It’s a feeling by usage, encountered since ever (years). And It’s not easily to reproduce even though those black areas tend to append the same places. At some place where it’s not crowded by buildings and trees!
The more obvious is some lateral clouds that can vanish or appear if you move the cockpit view of 1 mm.

I’ve updated the app to its latest version today and unfortunately the glitch is still there. I can run the sim on ultra quality with absolutely no performance issues at 30fps. It looks and play beautifully on my device, but this bug is driving me nuts. I’m waiting for a fix before thinking on a paid subscription.

It is not a device issue. It is an historical issue. It can happen on the Mac with 10 GB RAM free in the middle of nowhere. And in the same time, I have no problem in the middle of the overcrowded Tokyo with a hell of a lot of lot of buildings and tree (endless).
It's more linked to placed and hard to repeat it.

Forgot to mention that I’ve tried all the new qualitiy settings and changed some flight conditions with no results. In any case, it doesn’t seem to be an issue derived from lack of resources, performance is simply perfect under any circumstances.

there is graphis options in this update? like a quality setting (low, med, ultra) Warper71

Yeah, but apparently only on some iOS devices.

Another day, another update, but the ground holes are still there.
Why does IPACS insist on not addressing the issue? They haven't even bothered to comment on it. It's annoying...
