Is this a bug?
I still can't find a way to connect the arrival route and approach route, both with the game planner and the FMC.

No this is correct, in real world on the “missing path” you follow instruction of ATC.

USA, you follow a Fly Heading xxx to ILS.
Certain eastern Europe countries, you follow a MVL/MVI ("free or imposed" manual operations).
Other, you are supposed to enter a transition to fill the gap (not implented).
But, pilots don't wait for ATC after the STAR, they follow instructions above, or/and why not overridden by ATC instructions.
In this case, I delete the STAR and redo it with waypoints.
