Is that even an official Aerofly FS 2 airport; it doesn't look like there is a runway modelled?
-
There is an Imperial County airport east of San Diego which is modeled, but the El Centro naval airport only a few blocks away, is apparently not. Interesting. :-/
Might be a nice project for a scenery designer.

That's an 108mile drive (1h 50) to San Diego though. That is almost as far as LA to San Diego... That's not around the corner.
-
I said East of San Diego, not close to San Diego.
But Imperial County airport (modeled) and El Centro (not) are in walking distance of each other.

AH now I get what you meant. Sorry about that...

No problem

You know, I had forgotten that I mostly fly with no trees now exactly because of things like this, so when I flew over to look at the area, it was pristine and very inviting.
The area is flat as a pancake for miles, and could probably serve as an airport with just the addition of a few buildings without even bothering with placing a landing strip.

By the way, El Centro is the winter training base for the Blue Angels. Can't wait till we have Multiplayer and four of us can jump in the our F-18s (especially in VR) and fly in formation. With our high frame rates, we should be able to do as well or better than the FSX world.

That would be pretty sweet
