Crash? You can crash in AFFS 2?
Never know this.
(Just joking )
-
This is, what I had quiet often in simulated flight. Oh, this is not flyable, that is absolutely not real.... Why can't people just try to learn? To learn from people doing the real thing? AFFS 2 do a lot of things in flight dynamics very good. You just have to try to get used to the real stuff and try to avoid compromises like using key strokes where real axis are necessary.Of cause, not everything is perfect in AF2. But a lot of simmers are not at the point to decide if it is the hardware, the sim or the own ability that lacks of realism.
Try to learn how to fly the real thing and you will see how outstanding the sim is.I have so many response from real aerobatic pilots, the flight dynamics of this sim is really close to reality. (Well, Walter Kampsmann thinks, the E330XL is a tiny bit underpowered in the sim, but beside of that like the real thing. )
Try to believe and learn from the people flying the real planes and helis. Don't think if you have flown the R22 in a sim somewhere else it has to be the same. Don't be shy to ask how to fly. And don't be frustrated if it's not working the first time. This is one of the main points of a simulation: Be open to learn.

There are a lot of wishes and only that much time. Mobile- and Mac-versions are waiting for an update for a long time now, ATC is on the way, the DVD Update should be just a matter of time.
There are so many things that can be improved, effect engine (I like to have smoke for my extra), water to widen the range of aircrafts by water planes, moving objects, weather engine, multiplayer,...
Well, IPACS is like a box of pralines, you never known what comes next.

"How will you spend your time?"
Well, waiting for the DVD Update.
Looks really good, the Copter.

Try something like:
f:\Aerofly FS 2 Addons\scenery
this should be better.
I cannot have a look from here if you need to put
f:\Aerofly FS 2 Addons\scenery
or
f:\Aerofly FS 2 Addons\
into the main.mcf file.

Strange federal system
It is indeed strange. We pay the creation of such pictures with our tax but need to pay again, if we want to use them.
Easy access download for OSM Source Data:
http://download.geofabrik.de/europe/denmark-latest.osm.pbf
Use this for input into scenProc. You can find nice scripts for this tool here in the forum.

There is no problem doing repaints without a template. It just takes longer, since you need to workout the textures by using colored, marked pattern.
I have done it with the Extra and can now make my own liveries, putting my sequence into the cockpit and change the registration. The result can be downloaded on flight-sim.com and I provide also my livery as a template.
If you can do new liveries with an official template you can do it also without.
Of cause it is easier to eat from the silver plate. But everything needed is there and even the chili eaten from a wooden plate can taste much better if you worked hard before.

I wish I would be talented as you are. I remember my only try to create a human in FS2004 years ago and he looks like a Beagle Boy (Panzerknacker) crossed with a 3D-stick figure (Strichmännchen)
And good luck for your daughter.
Edit: Found it... the crazy thing is: This plane is still working in P3D and was created for FS9.
I wish I would have the talent to put myself into the Aerofly.

Nice thoughts and thank you for inspirations. Automatism is good for huge areas and help to reduce manual worktime.

Well... So what do you want to do with the content converter if you don't create your tmc file?!?
-
I guess you run the exe directly instead of right click on tmc file and choose the content converter to run with?

As far as I know they are not included in the sim but retrieved via the internet. So you have no influence. But I could be wrong.
-
If you use the alpha channel of the TIFF or PNG rather than mask files I thought that it supports proper transparency?
(I could be wrong, it's a while since I played with this).
Like vogel69 say, the alpha channel in tifs are not working. (Or at least also only in an on/off way.) I experimented a lot with this...
So at the moment there is no way around fitting the color with the sea color from the region.
-
Feathering out to transparent is not working since the mask is only on or off. So it is more a sprinkle out (I hope this word makes sense here... ).
So I need to test this the hard way to find the correct color.

Rodeo was giving the Info IPACS told him, that the Aerofly FS2 general water color is RGB: 7 - 23 - 46
With this info I get a much to light blue for transitioning. Was it the wrong value? Or possibly it is not the one for my region?
I like to get the transition from my Ortho-Photos as smooth as possible to the Aerofly FS 2 standard deep water.
