I agree that the pad itself is a bit thin and doesn't spread the pressure well. Improving on that will be a good next step. The cheap velcro thing I bought was pretty rubbish, so maybe a good-enough fitting VR cover is the answer.

Just walking out the door Kenneth, and had a thought. What are your graphics settings for buildings? Make sure they are on ultra.
-
No need. That's in case we want extra custom xrefs on a per airport basis. I'm out of time tonight I'm afraid, but will test in the morning. Hopefully others will report whether they get the same or something that works, Building_textures was always redundant by the way.

The TOC looks fine. I'm a bit pressed for time but here is a test - stick some of them on the runway and see if they show. Possibly the terrain is very uneven and they are sinking a bit? Make sure you don't have a clash as well - multiple versions of the airport. Log may say.

Hi Phil
I tried adding a couple of new objects, (fuel box and SUV) but they are not showing up in the sim. Are these new objects already part of your downloadable xref collection or are you still adding them?
- Kenneth
Which airport Kenneth? I did some tests and saw these new objects, so I'll check your airport.
TomSimMuc - I'm going to add the whole lot of the xrefs including the new construction kit buildings but first I want to make the navigator a bit easier to use.

Reverb Facepad comfort solved- velcro sandwich spacer
- Buy a short length of this
- Stick them back to back with something flexible in between thats about 3mm thick. I found some dense foam that had come as packaging. If you can’t find anything suitable get some 3mm neoprene sheet for about £3
- Use the velcro sandwich as a spacer by taking the reverb facepad off and placing this between the facepad and the velcro mount on the headset - chop the spacer into sections so that the pegs on the facepad are still useful for positioning the facepad

I modified fsCloudPort to the toc system today. This opens up much more scope for xref objects as previously I needed to generate object models for every xref I added (in fact 360 versions of each new object at different orientations). Here's a summary of all the changes.
- TOC file now generated with every airport and the TSC stripped back to just the runways (and helipads done as normal objects)
- Water towers added as extensions to the xref library - in order for any water towers to become visible in sim, you need to download the water towers xref libarary via the download button on every airport page
- A bunch of new xrefs added see below - I will add more but I need to redesign the editor a bit to make it easier to navigate
- Now that there will be many more smaller objects I've made two more changes to the editor
- When you mouse over an object it pops up a label saying what it is
- Smaller objects now use a smaller icon - a simple vehicle so you still get a sense of orientation
- I've taken one thing out - if you made helipads via the Add Building method and choosing the helipad as the type of building, these won't show up. You need to use the Helipad tool from the navigator now (as most people have for a long time I think now)
Looking forward to some screenshots!
The icon for small objects looks like this

That's my favourite too - I like to give my brain some work to do calculating the bearings. I also do VOR in the Robin (No DME though) and the JustFlight planes have VOR.

to me
Hi Phil,
Thanks for contacting us. While the team is always looking to develop new solutions for VR headsets, there're unfortunately no immediate plans to offer a face pad for the Reverb. We will drop you an email if there're confirmed details of a release or when the product becomes available.
If you've further questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
Sharon

You say you can't load 2 aircraft but we do have statics and now we have flying statics using animation, so is there scope for a cheap and cheerful multiplayer?

I'm exploring options for those of us using HP Reverbs and have a big snozz.
- Put a sticking plaster on your nose
- Put some of this on it
- Make an alternative shaped nose recess (3d print?) and seat it with double sided tape inside the reverb one. It would have to push the HMD away from your face a little
- Thicken the face pad with double sided velcro - or a layer of velcro felt/foam/velcro hooks
-
-
The new face cushion has arrived. Not as pretty or neat a fit as the original of course. It is wider though so spreads the pressure more comfortably. What it doesn't fix though is the need for a nose job to avoid a stiletto heel type pressure on the bridge of my nose. I think the next experiment is a little piece of padding placed inside the nose recess.

Haven't tried anything but FS2 ! Oh, about 10 mins of xplane and again I used the sim specific function rather than a WMR option.
-
I don't have any trouble centering. I just hit the space bar and use FS2's centre functionality (via voiceattack now). The FS2 launch screen always starts out of view.
-
It is amazing and the detail is superb. A bit more comfort would be nice as you say - I'm finding the leather facepad less than comfortable, so I just ordered one of these cheap and cheerful alternatives. I read somewhere that the fit is OK for the Reverb. I'll find out.

The other thing I've *finally* done is start using Voiceattack. Its so useful with VR, and saves me needing buttons for things like: centre VR, launch SteamVR for WMR, internal/external/follow view, pan left, pan right, exit, screenshot, seat adjustments.
