If you're talking a converted texture file for 3D models, pretty sure you can't do that. Once they are converted to ttx, it becomes encrypted. At least to us Aerofly users. So no editing anything that has already been made to ttx.

GregDude Turn your Terrain Image Quality to Ultra. The Ortho image used for Power Plant was only converted to level 15, meaning you wont see it with even High settings.. The Marina should be visible with Medium settings and higher.

It would have been wonderful - if it ever going to be realized. In the meantime, we use what we have.
Here is a screenshot of ENBL, Norway:
First of all, that is a stunning shot! Great work!
Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried using Google Earth Flight sim to see how that handles elevation and terrain mesh?
I didn't use the Flight sim part, but in Google Earth VR. The Elevation is 10 times better than 1m Resolution (exaggeration). Every small rock, odd shaped object, etc, shows up. Only thing with that much detail, you see alot and alot of loading pop in and out.

Sadly that information was wrong. It might work for FS2 but not for RC8.
200 € wasted.
I am so very sorry Thoemse! I did not realize I was responding to the RC8 forum..

It's great that more and more companies are offering headsets, some better in areas than others. The problem is, I want them all. But really, I only want the best one.

Jolilo here is some different Building Texture Folders to try out. Click here: Extra Building Textures
Example 1
Example 2
As for editing the height of buildings here is a picture example of where to adjust levels in Script.
Also in your ScenProc Folder should be a PDF file with detailed instructions.
Hope this helps.

Glad to see it worked! Be careful, cultivating can be addicting

Buildings and Trees, they only appear if the OSM data you used has mapped them out. If you want to add some I recommend using
AFS2 Cultivation/Scenery editor by Nabeel.
Example: My home area has very poor OSM data. I had to manually place/map buildings using JOSM Edit . Make sure you have a Building Texture Folder installed into your location.

Any Pimax 5K+ users? I am considering buying it but since it is not on Steam I got no option to return it if it wont work with my 5K+.
Yes the headset will work, even without the base tracking sensors but I highly recommend you have them.
Here is an earlier discussion thread about the Pimax 5k plus - is this the next step for VR flightsim?
You will find on page 2 my opinions and others about the headset with Aerofly FS2. Some like it, some not so much.

Hello Jolilo,
This has helped a few simmers in the past. Hope this is the answer.
1.) Try a different version of ScenProc (developer version) Developer Release
2.) Use this SPC. script file with ScenProc Cultivation Script.zip make sure to edit your input and output locations.

TE GB will be great, but TE NL and Helgoland were a disappointment sales wise, so I gather. Maybe because we can make good sceneries ourselves? Does the possibility to make user generated content at a high level, bite us in the back here?
I don't think so in my opinion. I would gladly pay for decent quality sceneries given that I have put hundreds of hours in creating my home area alone, side projects, helping others etc.
Curious out of the 18,500 forum members. How many are AF2 users??

Try the AFS2 Cultivation/Scenery editor by Nabeel. It's makes cultivating very easy! Simply load your TOC. file you just created from ScenProc.

"We won’t commit to an AFS2 version until we see how the TE GB conversion is received." - From the man himself
Oh boy..

The preview looks soo fantastic. My gut feeling says that they will make an AF2 version given some time. Perhaps the long term investment approach. It's such a great area to pass up. Maybe XP12 will offer a smooth VR expierence. Until then..

I typically generate level 9,10,12,13 with zoom level 16 in areas. Towns or special places get level 13-14 with zoom level 19. My home area has level 9-14 with zoom level 19. If ortho imagery is super good I will make special areas level 15 with zoom level 20 but that's rare.

R22 is really fun in VR. I think we need a heli that can perform in high altitude mountain areas next. As far as which one that would be, I'm not sure.

I think people with the Odyssey+ think the SDE is much less than the Rift but text won't be sharper.
Anti SDE has made me not want to go back. Granted clarity isn't as great to 5k+ but it blends everything together better Imo. From Swevivers image comparisons, the Xtal looks like it's doing next gen clarity with the same current panel hardware and that is something to be excited about. Now if a headset could implement all those fancy technologies into one (4k panel, FFR, Anti SDE, 200 FOV) then there would be no need for real life anymore The day will come.

Wow, very impressive and expensive indeed.. Stunning through the lens comparisons. The fact that XTAL is using the same panels as Pimax but utilizing and using less zoom magnification allows for a significant clarity boost. Imagine later down the road what XTAL could do with next gen high resolution panels? I think a lot of companies will figure out these better ways within a few years. Given graphics card manage to keep getting stronger, along with Fixed Foveated Rendering. He did mention because no significant Super sampling was needed, most games ran better. Of course we all know Aerofly most likely ran the best.
