Description
The Junkers Ju 52/3m is the three-engine version of the Ju 52/1m. The Junkers Ju 52 made its maiden flight as a three-engine aircraft on 7 March 1932. It shaped civil air traffic like only a few other aircraft and is today one of the best-known historic aircraft of any German production. Characteristic for this aircraft is, like many Junkers aircraft, the corrugated sheeting. The Ju 52 served the German Luftwaffe in World War II as a transport aircraft and was particularly convincing because of its low landing speed. A total of about 4,800 aircraft of this type have been manufactured.
