Moving RC8 to a new PC

  • I am building a new gaming pc. Will I be able to transfer my current installation of RC8 over to it? I have the download version. Thanks.

    Custom built gaming desktop; Win10 pro, i9 9900k (water cooled) oc to 5ghz, zotac gtx 1080 ti blower, 32 gb 3000hz ram, 1 tb ssd, 4 tb hdd. Asus ROG Maximus xi hero wifi mb, StarTech 4 port/4 controller sata powered usb3.0 pcie card, Oculus Rift cv1 w/2x sensors, and Asus VG248QE external 1080p 144hz gaming monitor. Now with new Vive Cosmos VR headset, looking good so far.

  • Yes, this is possible, you need to repeat the activation however.

    Ya I just needed to download, install, and activate it with my code. Also, it then prompted me to update to the latest version 8.0033.01. This update helps a lot for us Rift users since the touch controllers do not seem to cause as much interferrence. Still best to startup from either the rc8 desktop shortcut and only place the goggles on once the Start screen appears. Thanks, great effort rc8 suport.
