I honestly think it’s Boeing’s QC issues instead of a design flaw. The aft-mid exit door was a 90s design and the problems are on the Max 9 instead of -900s.

Maybe it would be better if the merger never happened since Boeing was planning on composite NGs (less risky) until MDD killed it.
