Hi all,
I use AFS2 on 3 screens and I want to expand the FOV because I do not have enough backward despite the zoom out. How can I do ?

Increasing the FOV is not recommended. Instead, you can follow these steps:

Thanks for your answer. The result is not performing, conclusive. I work with Matrox triple head and maybe that's te reason why(?)
Thank you all the same.

@Support:
when i change from 1 screen (fullscreen) to windowed mode while increasing that window size to let's say 1.5 screens horizontally,
the FOV does not follow, which means i see less and less of the cockpit when enlarging the window.
which parameter in the mcf file can i adjust to have a realistic fov (f-18 cockpit) even if i am in a wider screen?
thanks for directions. -

Thank you for rephrasing my question, this is exactly the problem I encounter with my 3 screens. I hope that the support team will give us an answer. -
Well, the link I posted also works when using Aerofly FS 2 in window mode and if not using a NVIDIA card. I recommend to give it at least a try and see how it works.

The suggested solution in the steam community does not produce the desired results as each "view" or camera rotates (rolls) independently of the other. It only seems to work if the left and right monitor are at 90deg to the main center screen.
To achieve a better FOV, I used the same example code to define a single view with 100% coverage and altered the field_of_view_factor.
But a later beta release broke the click locations in the cockpit, so I reverted back.
I used this code in the 'Documents/Aerofly FS 2/main.mcf' file.....
[INDENT] <[list_tmsettings_separate_3d_view][separate_3d_view_list][]
[INDENT]<[tmsettings_separate_3d_view][element][0]
[INDENT] <[float64][x][0]>
<[float64][y][0]>
<[float64][w][1]>
<[float64][h][1]>
<[float64][field_of_view_factor][2.2]>
<[float64][z_axis_offset_in_degree][0]>[/INDENT]
>[/INDENT]
>
[/INDENT]I don't think the mouse click problem has been fixed.

main.mcf broken, how can i reverse to default?
-
Just delete it and redo some of the settings. Your controller bindings are not affected.

thanks support.
just for info: the stuff on http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=738066887
did not respond to my earlier request. Saying, what it does is not what i wanted
But never mind, i will get back to the subject somewhere later. You guys better push DLC now. -
The problem with the "solution" given on steam community is the black artifacts that appear when turning. This makes the "solution" useless.
I was just advised this thread was obsolete and I should create a new thread but I will wait for an answer on this thread because it has other posts that are relevant.
