Is there a mirror-server I could try or if anyone has any suggestions, I'd be most grateful.
Cheers - Eivind
Hello Eivind,
I can have a mirror link uploaded in about 30 minutes. I will private message you.

It is only available for PC Version.

I also bought the Chicago Meigs field addon. I've always loved that field. Maybe one day it will be recommissioned. Nice to see a few animations but not nearly as well done as Oahu imho. Maybe there are some simple addon animations for Meigs I can download?
Thanks for the kind words!

What sort of hardware would allow ultra settings here?
This looks special!
I don't know specifics since this was done by TomSimMuc
My last PC:
1080ti, I7 7700k, 16gb Ram
60 FPS with VSync on.
Often 150+ FPS without VSync
I personally don't run the 'ultra setting' batch file as it has objects/features I don't find necessary.

I guess I can tinker around a bit by "switching" folders on and off and see what happens and dis-/appears? Would it be possible to relocate some subfolders from the special_folders, e.g. the carrier group, to have these (objects on the ocean might not be an issue)?
Absolutely! If you are going to tinker around and move folders, make sure you have a backup just in case.
However by manipulating and moving folders, this now makes the batch files irrelevant. But if you have a very slow pc, then do what you have to do to make it work.

I`m back if there is an option to further reduce objects density, hoping that this helps. I would even accept some popping up.
This would be your best bet to increase performance drastically while still enjoying the basics of the scenery.
Use 'double underscore' before these red highlighted folders.
Retained will be the images, trees, airports, autogen.

The addon has no reason to go to OneDrive unless you specifically have this setup on your PC.
If it helps any, I have made a quick video example of how to install.
-
My question is do I just still add this file into "places" regardless of having the other Hawaii download? Or should i delete it and add this one? Again sorry I'm a greenhorn.
Oahu is a separate addon. No need to tamper with Kauai_niihau folders.
Instructions will be on the page once finished uploading.

That sweetspot picture example you see of the Reverb G2 is pretty accurate from my experience. Not much to work with. But the clarity is impressive.

3D Model that can be placed anywhere in the world
Download and Installation Instructions at https://flight-sim.org/filebas…re-model-oil-rig-helipad/
If you want to place the Oil Rig somewhere else in the world, find a flat surface and make sure all LONG/LAT positions are the same in both TSC files.
Note:
By DEFAULT this model is positioned and placed in PNW: Quatam River Freeware No real oil rigs are there and is completely fictional for my personal entertainment.

The screen door was a compromise I had to live with using the Samsung but the colors/brightness was worth it. Now the G2 also has great colors but no more screen door.
Agreed, I've tried different headsets since and nothing seems to beat the vibrate colors and blacks of the Odyssey.
Improved resolution is the only benefit with the Reverb.
I see someone on flight-sim.org posted about 'ReShade' tool compatible with Aerofly. Might be worth tinkering with.

Correction ... black box just arrived.
Nice! Let us know what you think.
For me, looking outside the Sweet Spot is kind of distracting as compared to the Odyssey.

Planning on a 3080 upgrade when they're back in stock (guessing 2-4 months).
Hi Ken, I hear you on that one!
So after some more tinkering around. Turns out there is a bug with the new Reverb G2 along with WMR.
It automatically puts your headset render resolution at 150% so that's why I wasn't achieving the constant 45FSP. It's needs to be set at 50% (which actually means 100%).
I'm sure they will fix this.
I've been playing around with these settings. Some give, some take.

Also to be noted that with the Reverb in many detailed sceneries my system specs are not always maintaining 45 FPS.
In VR it's a way better experience when everything is consistent and smooth.
Good excuse to upgrade the horsepower.
-
I have tested the Reverb G2 with Aerofly and overall it's a great visual upgrade.
Being able to read all the fine details in the cockpit as well as looking in the distance with more clarity was drastically noticeable.
The Reverbs colors in the day time are wonderful! Very impressed with that. However, night time feels very grey.
Comfort level is better than my Odyssey+
The Reverb offers '90 hz' and '60 hz' settings.
If you use motion reprojection on '90 hz' then you will get 45 FPS which makes everything run smooth while maintaining visuals.
At first I was running at '60 hz' with motion reprojection, capping it at 30fps which was causing horrible visual experience.
Now I'm back at 45fps and the experience is great!
Everyone's experience is different, just thought I'd share my two cents.

With Apache v5 I don't seem to get the black screen but the sim just doesn't move. I can get in and out of Dev Cam, revert back to menus no problem. Both the original and new Royal Paint job seem to cause the sim to freeze and stutter differently. Sometimes I can load into 1st person view and yet sometimes the Apache doesn't load at all.
