so i am trying to undertstand the new animation projects i am trying out the new modelconverterx beta, after countless hours of trial and error i find a way to convert complete scenery to aeroflyfs2, because i dont ask the author of the scenery for permission to convert i can not show or publish the converterd scenery, but i am shure if you ask the authors of the freeware scenery they give the permission to publish as freeware, now i gave a short tut, downlad modelconverterx beta !, irfanview for batchconvert, total commander for easy fast file transfer, go tp x-plane.org, register and download your scenery ariport you want in aerofly fs2, extract scenery, delete othophotos if included., search and copy all texture files bmp. png, dds to eart nav data, convert all texture files with irfanview batch to jpg, copy again all to earth nav data, start modelconverterx, go wiizard and import scenery, open eath nav folder and load, wait until scerny is loaded complete,generate scenery and fix as many errors as possible (load mising libs from x-plane org, dont worry if textures are not shown in modelconverter x, then generate scenery again, now the most important, save scenery as wave front .obj to earth nav data, start modelconverter x again, load obj , save and convert as object aerofly tgi, run sdk object converter to full convert, dont blame me if its not working for all all scenerys, this should show you only the way whats possible with modelconverterx , i have a 2080ti so if have no problems with framerate, , maybe you have have (thing the complete scernery is now one object) and maybe it influence your framerate, thats it, happy converting
