Just wanted to ask, why are there such noticeable differences in how UK scenery is modelled? There are clear lines everywhere and it looks kinda tacky from high up ngl
Ground image lines in UK

It sort of looks a bit like an enhanced PC FS2 base Europe scenery. The edge of the world is Ireland with less resolution, raw dark cloud shadows and the surface 1,600 below sea level. Apart from that the textures looked very similar from height. I wonder if individual Great Britain cloud shadows were edited out?

The ground images that we use have been created originally by airplanes flying over the terrain and taking pictures. Depending on season, camera used etc the images have slightly different look. This is an issue with all aerial scenery and appears on Google Maps, Bing Maps and pretty much all other sources. As you can imagine it takes a lot of time to manually adjust each area to remove these and when the image provider does not adjust the images then you end up with these rectangles of different color.

Ok thanks for the explanation. Is this going to be amended or stay as is?
