Moving map in Aerofly fs global

Hi Ipacs,

Thank you for bringing global to Aerofly, it's much appreciated. I have a request that you bring back the in-flight map to Aerofly fs global as it was in Aerofly fs 2020, we need a moving map (that moves with the aircraft) and that allows the view of the entire globe just like the map in the navigation menu in Aerofly fs global. Below is a screenshot refrence, you can access the map by clicking where the arrow is. P.s. a bonus will be adding a live ETE (esimated time enroute) to destination that is synchronised with the flight and updated accordingly. If you could implement the map in a way that the flight doesn't have to be paused when accessing it that will be great.

You can just go back to the menu and then go into the map. It's just one extra step now.

That would indeed be great without interrupting the flight, going back to the menu feels a bit wrong...

A moving map on screen would be nice but I see no benefit in having the old shortcut button to just see the map full screen.

I'm curious why I can't add maps to the game?
Is there any reason?
To my knowledge, IF and X-plane both have in-game maps.
I think there are many benefits, such as being able to check the position of the plane at any time.
From my humble knowledge, it is just to call (function call) the map of the main interface in the game to display it.

It seems like you don’t want to script it… Don’t get me wrong but this is really useful.

Yeah it would be really nice if they added this, but for now they have other problems with the iOS and iPadOS releases and I understand that.

The moving map would add to the memory requirement (RAM) and right now that is the exact reason why some users experience crashing on mobile devices with small RAM size.

We do have a moving map on PC, MAC and Linux.

Could this be added to Android first or to Android only, since iOS devices are the ones suffering RAM issues the most right now? And with a toggle that is automatically switched to off by default so it doesn't crash on unknowing users devices?

I don't know about this. Can you tell me how to set up in-game mobile maps for the PC version of Af4?

Press "m" to toggle the map in Aerofly FS 4.

It only works when you kept the default assignments and it's not available in VR. Otherwise there are no extra steps.

You can assign a different keys in the controls menu.

There is a problem with that, if you have the copilot enabled with route on and you go back to the menu to go into the map, and spend a couple seconds, once you go back into the flight, the copilot will still be enabled but the route option will be disabled, a bit tricky isn't it!
