Geoconvert may be a great tool. I've tried to learn it but to be honest, it's too complicated, difficult for me and most of all, it costs me too much time. I think it would be great if you could buy more DLCs soon. For example areas, which are not so existent at the market like Central- and South America or Africa. Somehow it is also strange with the Geoconvert tool that everyone has to do the work themselves again and again. So, I would like to be able to buy official products soon.
Prefer payware DLCs then Geoconvert Tool

Scenery and airports are still being developed for Aerofly FS 2 but they all take time to complete, so please be patient and you will be pleased with new upcoming releases. ORBX is also in the game now, so look for more releases from them as well.

I looked at the ORBX. What abbreviation do they use for fs2? I want to know what works and does not before I buy anything.
-
Thanks a lot Jeff. In the case of ORBX, you know, first I need for my Aerosoft DVD-edition the update which solve my elevation problem at KEGE and KMRY.

Quite understandable. We are working on this

I think there could still be done a lot in existing DLCs before coming up with new ones: cultivation, tree placement, obstacles, water etc.

I am so glad I chose this sim to start my sim-flying career. So much nice things to come!

ORBX PNW is coming... be patient, it will change how we see FS2.
They just got Gold Coast out with a new technology and it's out of this world. I hope that some of that apply to PNW.

They only have three products for Aerofly FS 2 right now:
https://orbxdirect.com/product/kege/afs2
https://orbxdirect.com/product/kcgx/afs2
https://orbxdirect.com/product/lowi/afs2
The abbreviation used is AFS2. All other products only work with FSX/P3D.

Four. Don't forget Chicago!

And the second best up to now, KMRY (Monterey in California, USA).

Well at least I had the number right Ed.

I notice there are updates on the ORBX web site for content that's available as DLC's for AFS2 on Steam. Do these updates automatically update for those of us who've purchased ORBX DLC's on Steam, or do we have to install the update manually from the ORBX web site?

It would be great to see a list of things planned for implementation in the future. No ETA is needed, just stuff on the "To Do" list from IPACS perspective. Would keep us from bringing up redundant topics here, as well as nourish anticipatory excitement.

Well, I'd love to see that too but a list like that will only result in hundreds of posts asking 'When will it be released'. IPACS announced they are working on ATC and ever since people are asking when it will be ready. And we never get an answer which only makes things more annoying. So although I would also LOVE to know now already what this sim will offer in a a year or two I rather not know anything about it. I don't think a list will prevent redundant topics. With the pace that IPACS is working anticipatory excitement will turn into frustrated annoyance in no time.
I think it's best to simply enjoy AFS2 for what it is right now, which is exactly what I am doing. Since I decided to not look at the future and wait for things to come my enjoyment of the sim has multiplied by 10 times.

So I do, enjoy what is here and looking forward to what is coming, whatever, whenever.

Over the course of four weeks, I have studied all developer tools and taken a long look at it. Anyone who has taken the time then know how much work the development in a scenerie or an airplane is. Construction and attention to detail take a long time. For me, I have completed the chapter. You can learn a lot and it is a fascinating occupation. But as I said before, I do not have the time for myself, I would like to see more commercial add-ons coming to market soon. This allows me to continue to deal with the great AFS2 and saves time for extensive development work. Thanks to all professional and semi-professional developers who take the time for this and our hobby. Thanks alot!
