I just wondering why in airbus A320 I can’t set holding pattern in a waypoint. I pressed the hold button in the fmc but it doesn’t take me anywhere. So basically the simulator don’t have a holding option on the A320 or what?
A320 can’t have HOLDING PATTERN

Holdings are not yet implemented.

Oh, that's unfortunate. Is it only in mobile or other platforms haven't implemented a holding pattern yet?

Airways, holds and direct to are still missing and we'll need to wait for the developer of the route to have time for this. There are other things we're working on at the moment.

I think both.
But you can always fly a holding manually(with the help of autopilot if you want).

Transition (between STAR and APPR) is still missing too. So you might have a gap instead.

Arrival and approach transitions should be implemented.
Gaps that you see are encoded as manual or ATC segments in the database, so that is realistic. A pilot would then need to either manually close the gap to fly a direct to or be told by ATC to fly a heading vector or fly a hold. -
I'm sorry, but my brother-in-law-Airbus-pilot was surpised when I asked him whether or not there is gap between STAR and APPR.
He said in a shocking struggle that pilots never wait for vectors after the STAR to the APPR. But, of course ATC can take over.
Yes, there might be a gap in certain eastern Europe countries for MVL or MVI (in French, which must stand for Free or Imposed Visual Fly).
And yes, there are often gaps in USA after the STAR followed by a Fly Heading xxx to ILS.
In all other cases, you have to set if necessary a Transission (RNAV) to the APPR that clears the gap between STAR (IFR) and APPR.

You can use the autopilot heading mode.

You can use the autopilot heading mode.
Is there anything I need to do to establish the Radial-in to get an intercept point, or should I just use imaginary vectors and normal, non-managed HDG mode?
