Any hope about GA planes...?

  • ...that such companies like Carenado/Alabeo provide in the near future their nice GA fleet to Aerofly fs2 ??? I think it would be great to have some quality GA planes. like Piper Archer, or so... Once again, I come back with the idea about having a nice Maule MX / or Piper Pa18 Supercup with Skis, it can be funny and challenging to take off from Saanen and land on some glaciers in Switzerland DLC: I've done that many times with the 172, but of course, in the reality it would be fantastic to do that in a real ski taildagger plane. In real Switzerland, we have around 20 glaciers landing zone for planes, it would be great to be able to do that. Anyway, a nice classic taildagger like a piper supercub, would be great.

Everyday, I'm thinking more and more to leave definately FSX, and only fly with Aerofly fs 2.

  • i support the idea about the Maule, and Glacier Landings.

In real life, this combination is essential for the Swiss and Austian Airmanship,
and is probably the edge of what you can get out of such as superscenery.

Before adding more GA-planes like that really boring archer (my oppinion) or cup (which makes no sence for higher altitudes)
i would love to see something that actually fits to given sceneries. RedBull Planes (airshow mode?) and maybe some cool stuff
from our austrian friends, such as the C-130, the Blackhawk. Salzburg is RedBull, don't ignore that opportunity.

  • I'm was really surprised the ability to add new planes wasn't an SDK priority for IPACS. They said that scenery was the bigger user request in a post a while back. The ability to try all kinds of planes is one of the most appealing thing about flight sims to me.

  • Hi Denny,

the SDK to create your own airplanes is already available. Just the manual can be improved and certainly will.
You can use this and some developers like Lionheart and Dino do already work on new aircrafts for aerofly.

What I see as a problem is the extremely high quality of the aircrafts in our actual sims.
I remember several years ago one could do a full aircraft from scratch.
For today's level you need to be a 3D master, a painting artist, a sound specialist and a setup flight engineer.

  • We need an A2A quality plane in AFS2 that has every switch working! A lack of quality aircraft, airports, and weather system are the main things missing from this sim.

Everyone to ask, all to ... require !. Some more aircraft, other ATC, other more buttons and activate the existing ones; I, access to Google Earth scenarios (3-D images); Others ... better night lighting, others, more DLCs, others ... one (better, 2 elicopteros), others ...

As I have already expressed in this forum, we all demand really important and very desirable requests and wishes, but ... IPACs has their own working script, which will sometimes change if any of our requests is really very important, but they have a lot More amount of work than they can do. Only with 2 basic programmers, it is a miracle what they are getting, and they are offering us a quality never seen, and this is very grateful and show some patience with the company.

I am convinced that even if they were 10 times more technical staff than today, they would not be able to attend to the flow of our demands in a reasonable time.

I understand that you have it really difficult, drhotwing1 and also Jan. Providing more and more explanations and justifications of everything you are doing and that satisfies us, is another ... miracle! In communication. And ... how many more users, ... more demands on IPACS !. Well, that's the way life is, and that's also your work before impatient users for more and more "toys".

I, also as a user, ask to be a little less insistent, a little more patient, and not demand so many new devices simultaneously. MUCH AND WELL, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE, BUT MUCH AND WELL, AND FURTHER ... ALREADY, MORE IMPOSSIBLE.
