    Hallo Leute

Vielen Dank Ivo

    Hello,

    I'm running RC7 and RC8 on Imac 27".

Work well on RC7, but not on RC8.

On RC8 both planes are not on the plane list.

Aircraft only show up when they are correctly installed. Please check your folder structure.

The default aircraft files are identical for mac or windows. The operating system is usually not an issue unless the creator used upper case file or folder names or spaces in the file or folder names.

    And ?

For each model, I install the RC7 and RC8 version.

RC7 and RC8 are installed on the same Imac, and the same user.

No problem on RC7, no planes on list on RC8.

Of course, is not the first time that I install planes and the problem is the same for 4 planes.

No problem encountered with other users planes from other sources.

Does the author try these add-ons on RC8 Imac before making them available?

    Regards

    Cliff

    Hi Cliff,

The user models for the RC 7 and RC 8 are created on a Windows PC. You cannot assume that everyone who creates models for the aerofly also has an iMac and can also test the models on an iMac.

For example, I don't have an iMac!

Have you tried the changes Jan suggested in post number 11?

    Regards

    Arthur

    Hello Arthur,

It seems is not an Imac problem, because the RC7 ( on Imac ) version of these planes are working well.

It seems the RC8 version of these planes are the main problem.

Globally, when you develop a program, whatever it is, you have to test all the versions on all the platforms available.

Today, when I want to fly the planes, I use RC7 on Imac, that all !

    Regards

    Cliff

You can not expect that a simple user who tries to help others has an industrial equipment.

You have to live with the fact that there are two worlds for computers.

As Arthur stated, if the developer of the model used lower/upper cases for filenames, it's likely this model doesn't work on Mac OS.

Also check that really the RC 8 version of the model is installed and not the RC 7 version as this is not compatible with RC 8.

    Hi Cliff,

you are right, the problem is in the RC 8 models.

Change the folder name from FunCub to funcub and in the folder the file name from FunCub.tmd to funcub.tmd, then it should work.

With the FunCub-Float it should be enough to change the folder name from FunCub-float to funcub-float.

    Regards,

    Arthur

    P.S.

I have informed the author of the models that in future he should make sure that he only uses lower case letters.

    Hi all,

Ivo (the author) reacted very quickly and corrected his models and now they should also run on an iMAC in the RC 8.
