737-500 sound effect improvements

Hi,

I have some suggestions for improving 737-500 sound effects:

1. Replace the GPWS altitude call outs with the GPWS altitude call outs found in most Boeing aircraft (see end of video). This GPWS update could be applied to all Boeing aircraft in the sim

2. Change elevator trim sound to a more realistic sound for 737 (sounds more like a pinball machine in real life)

Yup, the 737 has pretty much the same engines as the a320, that made it quite easy. The most work is usually the electrical system though.

Though the sounds are different!

Does it mean that the sounds are now almost the same in the developer build? In this case, how the sounds changed? B737 to A320 or A320 to B737?

I think sound didn’t change. I think Ipacs is working with sound volume, sound height and maybe sound speed.

We're using entirely different engine samples, so it sounds different, yes.

The actual rotation speed of the 737 fans are higher than those on the A320, even if N1 values were identical.

The lower fan diameter of the 737 engine means it has to spin faster for the same thrust. That's probably were the biggest difference comes from in the real world.

Your continuing hard work to improve our sim enjoyment is much appreciated Jan. Will there be a relatively major upgrade offered before the release of the next version in mobile?

My pet desire which it seems no one else has shown any interest in is audio identification of the navigation radios. It is an absolutely vital, a real actual vital requirement in real world instrument flying. It is always done, is always taught and always looked for in flight tests.

The sim 737 screams for it!

The next Aerofly mobile version will be keenly anticipated for the improvements and for a chance to pass revenue on to IPACS, will there be any more IPACS sourced pay add-ons offered? especially in mobile, the 5 GB iOS limit offers room for growth. I’d gleefully pay for New York scenery.
