As mentioned above the 11GB update of Aerofly FS 2 did not change much, no new files....
You can only see a difference in size when you manually select the DLC.

i downloaded the DLC manually. 6 hours of download.
Where in the aerofly folder can i see whether it is implemented?
Click the folders in steam. The properties show where the big brute is.

I think it also installes in you installation folder of Aerofly FS 2. Thats
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator
or something like that per default. The size of that folder is 84.5Gb for me.
You can also check if it installed properly in "game" if you fly along the Grand Canyon. With the DLC the textures along the entire canyon should look a lot more crisp...

All good for me eventually... I know I got it installed... huge improvement and much more enjoyable to fly now. I can confirm the Grand Canyon also is much sharper.... I can really see this sim has huge potential...
