New Zealand Scenery Campaign

The Milford area in Sth NZ would be a great place to start as scenery in Aerofly FS2. Like already proven quality by Orbx-FTX for FSX&P3D !

Robin does fantastic 'photoreal' scenery for New Zealand. I purchased his Godzone subscription series for FSX and am down as a donor for this new venture.

Thanks for putting Robin's Kickstart campaign on the forum. He is very interested in this sim and letting him know you are interested in scenery for FS2 will encourage him to start experimenting with FS2. He needs to see a viable market as his main sim market is P3D and FSX. Some folks who like Xplane 11 helped him to get serious on making Xplane 11 versions of his scenery and I think letting him know you want AF2 scenery will have a similar effect.

For sure I am in. I also have Robin's FSX/P3D products including the AMAZING airports he has done (Nelson and Dunedin) and the photoreal subscription. I would also love to see much more produced in FSX/P3D and of course Aerofly FS2. I will be putting my name down.

I put my name down for this last night, and I see it has also been listed in the news on Air Daily X (and D'Andre is also pledging). I really hope Robin can reach his goal and surpass it. His scenery is absolutely amazing and I would really love to see more of it.

Thanks for the support here! I've now reached the target to ensure that this project will go ahead (what that means is explained further on the Kickstarter project page), but keep those pledges coming. Aerofly FS2 is the black sheep of the sim family at the moment, but one with a huge amount of potential. I'm not sure at all whether I'll be able to continue with NZ development for FS2 beyond the initial project, so if you are thinking about making a pledge based on the likelihood of some FS2 'Real NZ' releases, then stick to the single project pledge -- NZ$25:)

However, it would be good to have a lot of Aerofly users pledging $25, the success of the project will be based on the user interest, so this is the way to show that you are interested, for the cost of a lunch. Well, a good lunch, at least.

Like a lot of those here, I'm hanging out for some nice tools, and I have a lot to learn about making great scenery in FS2.

I've now updated the Kickstarter page with a video showing the proposed first project in Aerofly FS 2. Here's the video, on YouTube, please take a look at the Kickstarter page for further details, the link is in the first post.

This is just a small test area, I am aiming for about 25,000 sq kms of scenery in this area, plus a couple of airports to fly from.

This is a very quick start at producing NZ scenery for AF2. Excellent work.

Could you show us the general area that you are considering for your pilot project? Maybe even ID a couple of potential airports?
