I am using my own setup. I own MrRCSound.com, and use Transducers with a sound system to give Radio Control planes realistic sound. I have 4 of the transducers on my homemade G-seat. 2 on the back, 2 under the seat. I also have one mounted to the yoke to give vibe to the yoke. I run them off 20 watt per channel amplifiers, with sound split off the main output.
I fly mainly the Cessna, as that is what my sim cockpit is set up like. Yes, you can feel the vibrations while on the tarmac. The sensation is not overwhelming, but there. I would say more than vibrations from a car without a muffler, but less than a jackhammer.
Similar. Though i've recently been thinking of upping the wattage to something much stronger
The only problem I see with going stronger is that it may create a lot of excess noise. I use noise canceling headphones, but if I listen I can still hear the transducers. Not sure though, just a thought.

i'd actually be happy with the rumble levels i get with DCS but fs2 seems to be a fraction the volume output even after tweaking the config.
Nothing in the Cessna with my buttkicker. The sound is subdued compared to other sims. Not sure how it compares with real life.

IPACS sound is very quiet. This thread just triggered a thought that it would be good to verify that and compare it with games like DCS which seem to have plenty of volume. I'll try this thing tonight if I get a chance. https://www.orban.com/meter
What you can do:
Ah spit40. Just realised you’re also on xsimulator. I love your G-seat BTW. Can you make me one?
Sorry mate, too busy on my next project... which i'll be talking about in a few weeks. Besides the gseat is a disappointment at the moment as i did major revisions on it just as Ipacs pulled the acceleration functionality, so its dead. I have DCS but don't fly it- just FS2 for me.

I based my G-seat build on Phil's. I had toyed with the idea of producing to sell, but there was not much interest. My business is not doing great at the moment, so there may come a time that I will have to do something to supplement. Maybe I will give it a try again if there is interest for a few to be made.
I've got a Buttkicker and like it. It's subtle but I notice when I forget to turn it on. The Cessna is one of the better planes for the BK - you feel the engine vibrations and definitely feel the runway during takeoff / landing. You also feel the engine in the R-22 and in the military aircraft (and obviously afterburner). You really don't notice the BK in the big commercial jets.
I use the Buttkicker and while it WORKS in AFS2 (using audio rather then USB input) it is very subdued due to the minimal range of audio spectrum generated by AFS2. Works MUCH better with X-plane and DCS!

interesting. So you feel its an audio spectrum issue rather than merely a volume issue. I wonder if we can get some input here from blacksmoke55 , he knows his audio.
Hmmm you could try what this dude did and connect it all to your joystick! His joystick must be a monster though cos the device is not small and it is heavy.

How much?
How much?
It was about $1100 in parts as I recall. That was with the vibe system and belts. I would have to go back and figure it up to be sure. I put a LOT of hours into getting it to work, but the next one should be easier. Might be able to do a whole setup for about $1500. Not a firm figure, I would need to calculate it. If I can get another one or two lined up, it would make it worthwhile on my downtime.

Yeah, good Buttkicker response requires low frequencies. It is essentially a "sub-woofer" that instead of sending the audio signal to a loudspeaker, sends it to a off-centre vibrating motor. Great for engine-Rumble, turbulence, ground feedback etc.
i use it with simshaker wings.

It´s a fantastic upgrade for my rig.

Interesting. Just reading about it but can't work out what it actually does? It gets telemetry from Fs2 to determine stuff (take off? engine revs?) and generates sounds that can go to an audio output? Aircraft specific?
x-simulator now have something like this but I don't think they support Fs2 yet. What sort of config options are there as it does sound interesting. Does it have strong output levels?
Any chance you could share a quick summary of how it works and how you configured it for FS2?
I have a
GAMING VIBRATING PAD GAMETRIX JETSEAT KW-908
which is amazing in DCS and free. However the paid version for AFS2 is underwhelming at best. For instance the 747 has rumble effect during takeoff and then nothing. Rubbish. But for fast air it’s good.
