New Aerofly FS 4 Release Now Available!

    • Official Post

We released another beta update today.

    • fixed B747, B777, B787 baro minimums are incremented by even 10ft steps
    • fixed B747, B777, B787 CDU thrust reduction and acceleration height can be changed
    • fixed B747, B777, B787 CDU progress page shows top of descent time
    • added B747, B777, B787 CDU VNAV page displays CLB, CRZ, DES page based on current flight phase
  • Congratulations on the improvement.

I wanted to ask you if you will fix LEMD runway 32R which indicates that it is 37R and Terminal 1,2and3 are overhead and not on the ground.

  • In Aerofly FS2, the Just Flight Tomahawk, Duchess, and Turbo Arrow had G430 and G530 implementation with the latter two having autopilots. The underlying GPS code and 2D LCD panel displays where included in the IPACS flight simulation code according to Jet-Pack (IPACS) and still exists in the Aerofly FS 4 codebase. So it should mostly be a matter of redoing the 3D instrument panel to include the GPS bezel, buttons, and knobs and tying that into the CMD and TMD files for any of the IPACS GA aircraft that could use it.

  • Oh, that I didn't know! I'm pretty new to Aerofly - coming from X-Plane 11. In this case, it would be totally worth re-implementing those garmin devices, I think. Indeed, the corresponding GA aircrafts currently feel somewhat incomplete without them...

Unfortunately, it's a case of "the devil is in the details". IPACS seems a bit reluctant to dedicate the resources to update its GA aircraft including the DR400 in the aircraft sdk even though the code base exists to support G430 and G530 (but not G1000). My ongoing complaint is that IPACS is too focused on airline planes, primarily for mobile market. Yeh, all those kids playing Aerofly FS 2022/23/24 on their iPhones and iPads like jetliners a lot for some strange reason (wanna grow up to be a globe-trotting airlines pilot some day) and that's a lot of pocket change in sales that add up to a lot more in total when compared to the full Aerofly FS 4 simulation PC game sales.

  • I can't imagine to fly on a mobile phone but even if I wanted to, my old blackberry wouldn't let me ;).
...Speaking of Airliners: Dear Jet-Pack (IPACS) would it be possible to have yet another minor issue fixed?

When starting from the RW, the B747 is not fully prepared for take-off like all other boeings of the SIM:

    - The CRZ altitude is not set in the FMC.

    - The CRZ altitude is not set in MCP.

    - LNAV is not armed.

    - VNAV is not armed.

  • We've update the beta again today.

    • fixed black screens in tower view - please report if you see any
    • fixed A320 MCDU destination wind cheat (click DEST WIND field with empty scratchpad) works again and should now suggest correct magnetic wind direction and speed
    • fixed LJ45, Q400 and 737 CDU selection of approaches is possible again after selecting the arrival (STAR)
  • fixed A320 MCDU destination wind cheat (click DEST WIND field with empty scratchpad) works again and should now suggest correct magnetic wind direction and speed

:/ hum, the MAG value is reverted (270° wind gives 90° as MAG in the MCDU).

    Best regards.

MacBook Pro | M3 Max 36 Gb RAM | Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition | Winwing URSA MINOR Airline Joystick
    X-Plane 12 | ToLiss A319, A320neo, A321(-neo/LR/XLR), A330neo
    simHeaven | BetterPushback | Traffic Global | X-ATC Chatter | X-RAAS2 | FlyWithLua
iPad | SimBrief | Navigraph (latest AIRAC) | WebFMC | MetarTaf

  • Hmm, I guess it's not fixed then xD

Almost! With the UI you set for example 270° wind. Start a flight, in the MCDU the MAG/WIND cheat will give you 90° (+ or - 180°).

  • Please push the autopilot light to turn off the warning or press the autopilot disengage button a second time. Or leave the assistance auto warnings on, that should silence the warning after a bit.

    Version 4/03/01/06

    737 A/P alarms remaining on.

These didn’t work Jan, I think the ‘assistant’ made things worse, he seems to have opened the doors and steps and I cannot close them!

The electrics remain live with everything turned off and the APU over temps on a start attempt and the main engines will not start on ground power even using every random air combination! The open doors mustn’t help?

The A/P disconnect alarm noise stopped after about 15 minutes but the auto pilot disconnect light remained on. (The sim sound was totally failed!).

A 737 livery change turned off the warning light and killed the (zero energy source) electrics. (The sim sound returned after an aircraft change).

A sim restart gave the same including the APU hot start and the power remaining on with everything disconnected.

Does the ’assistant’ turn off the parking brake and open the doors? How do I close the doors? (In December 2021 you mentioned 737 door anunciators in the overhead panel to open the doors).
