Have now duplicated the carriers.
One is in New York as on the picture of Highflyer, the other is cruising in front of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Will be published tomorrow.

Excellent work.

I can duplicate the carrier on different places. Just need some suggestions.
Rodeo, here plenty of suggestions:
chose "pictures" mode when google shows results.

Can't wait to try this ! I've been checking this thread every hour or so... paint-jobs are nice enough, but for me this is the start of the many exciting things to come.
P.S. And I hope you follow this up with a super detailed version - I'd happily pay for something like that -

brmmbrmm, please send your money to my bank account... No, just kidding!!!
To make a model similar to the quality of aerofly FS 2 standard takes sooo many hours. I'd rather jump around and try to realize my ideas. And I still have some more at the back of my mind.

Here is the download.
Please forgive me, I did not much care about retexturing the carrier. I was rather interested to get this done at all.
Perhaps you are interested to import objects for yourself, check the tutorial in the developers' section.
Thanks!Download removed due to surface problems.

Is there some sort of obstacle on the deck? Twice I've come in nice and slow in the Cessna but seem to catch something on the deck and keel over to the left. Still trying to manage my first landing.
My guess is that the painted lines are not on the same z-level as the deck and acting like ridges. Also at one point I seemed to come to a halt halfway through the deck - though possibly I made contact with the wheels below deck level.
Good fun though !

I tried the C-172 and the Sopwith Camel and can manage to land either one the deck, but I get swallowed up and sink right through the deck. gurgle, gurgle, gurgle.
I also noticed that the prop stops the instant of first touch down. Weird. This is on both the Cessna and the Camel. I am going to try the Corsair again and see it the prop stops on it also.
What would cause that? Anyone?
Yep, it would be a lot more fun if the carrier didn't eat the airplanes.

Same here - I finally managed to land, avoided all painted lines(=ridges I think), but then the right wheel just got sucked into the deck.

Sorry guys,
there is something wrong. I better remove the download until the problem is solved.
I assume, the surface has to have a certain attribute like a runway. Now it seems the aircraft gets damaged as soon as it touches the carrier. Oh man, I thought, it's done... -
Hey, no need to apologise Rodeo, its been fun testing! Besides its been good practice trying to keep the speed at Vso for a very short landing. Its strange as i have no trouble landing on water!

This Carrier image that Rodeo posted a few pages ago looks like the new Gerald R. Ford class that is about to set sail. It is suppose to have a larger landing area than the Nimitz class. That may be what I need a larger landing area. Notice the smaller tower moved back from near center. (harder for me to hit, I suppose)

Not the excellent new offering, read the description.
The island is not really smaller than in the much earlier Esse x class. The oil fired Ess ex class island includes the raked funnel and the nuclear Nimtz/Ford ships are about three times the displacement and so the ship is much bigger. For some bizarre reason typing Es*** doesn't work here.

They know, that we desperately need this carrier. Perhaps there is some rework necessary, but some day...
In the meantime I'm confident to get the intermediate carrier working. I'll let you know... -

So, which carrier is this one? How about the one Rodeo is working with? Class, Country, Ship?
