Sad to say but my folder structure doesn't look like that.

I know you have tried to explain but is there anywhere to see the step-by-step download and installation procedure for these extra sceneries and aircraft please?

In x-Plane you simply copy the downloaded file into Aircraft or Scenery but that doesn't seem to work here.

The file for the Lynx which I downloaded is Lynx.rar. Being a novice It took me some time to work out that I needed special software to unravel this sort of file. I've now done that and put it in the Aircraft folder.

However, it does not appear when I choose my aircraft. Only the original 21 FS2 aircraft appear.

My folder structure is attached .

@BeaglePup: Never copy anything into that folder you showed on the screenshot. The folder you are looking for is '~/Library/Containers/com.aerofly.aerofly-fs-2-mac/Data/Library/Application Support/Aerofly FS 2/'

Many thanks for that. But that's exactly why, as a beginner, I'm hoping some clever person will set out a step-by-step guide to where to put these extras in Apple Mac.

Why isn’t this available on the main menu like every other aircraft?

Because it has been developed, free, by a third party and not by IPACS.

Once you install it correctly (in c documents users ... Aerofly FS 2\aircraft\lynx7) it should show up in the aircraft menu like all other aircraft. But you have to install it first, it's not part of the default program.

larrylynx Do you have any tips relating to visibility and landing?

I struggle to see through the cockpit toward the landing pad. The lower windows are very small and to the side. I've tried shifting my view up and down, which doesn't help a lot. The 3rd person view is quite helpful, but kind of cheating when trying to get the full sim experience.

Only advise I can give is to look out of the side windows like we had to in the real Lynx or make a constant attitude approach whilst bleeding off the speed so you arrive at the touchdown point with zero speed

The search mission for the lost tourists near Bodo, Norway created a need for a rescue repaint of the Lynx. Grab the repaint and join the fun.

At last, the US Marines have got a decent helicopter :D:D:D

Though they can't refuel it as you painted over the gravity fuel fillers :(

I looked and looked and looked for some way the repaint the bright white bumps on top and whatever is hanging on the starboard side of the rudder. Failing to find their location in the paint kit, I chose to paint everything the brownish color. Those Marines are smarter than we give them credit, they don’t fly very high or very far so before they run outta gas, I may find a fix. 🤨😚😜

My anti torque pedals are having a dramatic effect in that I can be in forward flight at 120 knots, and start spinning uncontrollably if I apply slight pressure either way. Have I perhaps selected the wrong assignment in controls settings?

Also my collective is 100 percent at approx a quarter of from its full range. Any way of fixing this?

    Thanks in advance.

I just uploaded a redo for the U.S. Coast Guard repaint for the Lynx Mk 7. I have learned a little more about the paintkit so I made a new one with a somewhat better layout. I am still looking for a couple of bumps and tabs, but, my lack of painting skills does not affect the performance of the chopper.

You can find it here https://flight-sim.org/filebase/index…mk7-helicopter/

I have finally got around to read the manual and are now able to get this gem in the air in just a few minutes..

ITS JUST AMAZING!!!😍 At least when you get it in the air. Flying in VR and use the ECL and SSL is a real pain. Hopefully one day it will be possible to bind these to a controller.

Thank you Larrylynx for making this, and as a veteran myself I really appreciate the last part of the manual❤️
