Please forgive my lack of knowledge concerning aircraft and terminology, but I landed at Greenwood Lake just now and parked up there's a big 4 engined prop plane with 3 tail fins.
What plane is this please? Looks awesome and want to fly it!

Can you post a picture of it? Learn that SDK, maybe you can make one
I cant take decent screen shots in VR
Cancel that, loaded in non VR...

It has a thrid tail fin not in view.
Ooooh, I like that.
Probably a Douglas DC4e or maybe Lockheed L049
Connie for sure.

Yes, most likely the DC-4

Do you know that you can bind any key or button to the "take screenshot" function in FS2. Those screenshots go into your documents/Aerofly F2/Screenshots folder. In VR they come out as full screen and look pretty nice.
Oh that's cool cheers. I used screen shot but loaded it out of vr, I think when I tried before in vr, it didn't really capture what I was looking at
Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation
Is it possible IPACS has this reasonably well modelled already, or just a cosmetic prop? Can you find out dr hotwing?

I know that it's not on any upcoming aircraft releases, but that doesn't mean there isn't an underlining functional model for it. I'll see if it will eventually be a release candidate.
Yeah, we do have quite a number of aircraft models prepared, for marketing reasons we won't share the specific aircraft with you. If you look at the facebook page you may see a couple of aircraft teased (e.g. die A380 in mobile) and the Q400. But there are a lot more we have not shown yet and that is also good because it will probably take quite a long time before they are finished. Right now it looks like we will expand the system depth further before adding more aircraft. To me it looks like deeper not wider at the moment but that might change and we could probably relase quite a number of simpler aircraft in the future... (as always just my point of view here, I can't promise either direction)
But I feel you guys want to do more with the existing planes, so I'd rather improve on those. But I'd like to hear your opinions on that matter, too!

Jan
I would imagine a lot of mobile users would be keen for more content over system depth.
+1 depth first. I just fancy one of those old prop liners.
I love airplanes and can't get enough. I have no special preference and fly them all. 100+ would be great  (like the amount of cars in the racing game Project Cars)
Perhaps mobile could benefit from some fine tuning of what is already released, for example give the P-38 elevator authority at landing speed with low power settings (and fix the probable oversize nosegear detection 'box' which pitches nose up in the late flare) and sort out the enormous adverse yaw or faulty yaw damper roll inertia in the Airbus 380. iOS mobile used to have good and frequent improvements before the PC Aero came out. Poor Android mobile seems totally stagnant.
I fall more into the depth than width in the aircraft selection. I do like to have a lot of repaint choices though.
I think what is often overlooked is that aircraft, by definition, is not limited to airplanes that land on prepared hard surfaces. This opens the door for a helicopter or two, seaplanes, bush planes, exotic flying machines, etc.
Those folks waiting for the A380 or Wright Flyer would not be happy if I was in charge of the selection committee. I would have the Q400 as the top priority, then some type of helicopter - I think we need a basic R22 beta and an executive or medic type like a Bell Jet Ranger, Agusta Westland AW109, or Eurocopter AS365. Then we need a single engine float plane and a twin engine seaplane for hauling freight and folks.
I know there must be a big group waiting for the first Aerofly FS 2 bush plane. Maybe a Beaver, or an outback type twin.
Then something different, Aerofly FS 2 is suppose to be going down a new path, right? How about the next big thing in aviation transportation - a Tilt Rotor. Now that would be something to get ones attention. We could use any runway, just about any heliport and it could be landbased or seagoing with a few configuration changes and yet be fast enough to satisfy most pilots.
The military versions of all these plus their specialty aircraft could open up a whole new world to flight sim enthusists.
Of course, there is still room for a Concorde once we have some large international runways.
Just my 2 cents.
