    FSCloudPort

    • Web based easy airport builder for creating and sharing airports via the cloud
    • As easy as using Google Maps, just point and click
    • Already 650+ airports in 100+ countries you can download and fly right now

EDIT 4/4/18: If you want an account to create airports, first download the documentation then ask Spit40 via a conversation (video shows how). The support thread for fsCloudPort is here.

Here's a quick overview video - example screenshots and full documentation below

This is a great tool, and it's just a snap to construct a new airport.

It is a tool we are waiting on since very long and now it got reality!

I wish the project a great success and a bright future.

Thank you very much for the extreme effort you put into this tool.

    Greetings,

    Thomas

    Cheers, Thomas

Oh wow, this is really impressive! Excellent work. :) As it grows, consider offering the airports in batched downloads grouped by their regions. One could download, say, the airports in northern France and easily install them all at once. And then when the download gets updated with new and modified airports you can just re-download and overwrite.

For now, you can download a dozen airports, say Norway for example, have them all installed and ready to fly in about 15 minutes total. The kicker is that you need to have some upgraded scenery for the area using GeoConverter. This is not difficult, but it is time consuming.

I'm a little confused. I have had AF 2 for about 6 months. I have downloaded and taken off from a few US airports (home is in the US). Do I need to install xref_gobal in order to install airports that are outside of the US?

Here is a single runway small reliever airport near Memphis, TN. that I made using fsCloudPort. Just adding a runway surface, a bunch of hangars and buildings, a control tower, and a few static airplanes makes a world of difference. The Memphis area has very good high definition scenery available. I also added a small single runway airport, General Dewitt Spain, Northwest of Memphis. Notice the industrial complex near the airport. This can be added in a matter of minutes and also adds tremendously to the 3D look for the approach.

    Ray

My understanding is that xref_global is not needed for airports in the U.S. but, it required to draw the buildings and hangars at any airport outside the U.S.

It only has to be installed once.

Across the big pond I added the Bergen, Norway airport, a small scenery area and cultivation. fsCloudPort is a wonderful new product for opening up the world to AFS2.
