Coming Soon - Florida Keys
Drhotwing1 You have my undivided attention about the Florida Keys.... Hoping you all do not forget NAS Boca Chica! My Hornet needs that!
As for my night, I decided to try out some twin turbo action over Denver. Engine pitch still sounds weird to me, but she flies purrrrrrfectly.
Ready to depart KASE Aspen Pitkin
Lining up Runway 33
Sayonara, Aspen!
Near Red Table VOR
Cruising. I need champagne.
Tally Ho, Denver!!
Inbound, Runway 34L...
It's going to take me DAYS to find the GA stand. I'm just going to park right here.
I've never been to Denver IRL, let alone their airport, but it FEELS like I actually visited there.
I hope when you do Pennsylvania, you will get that same feel for Pittsburgh. It's quite a unique city, and our airport KPIT has a similar spread out vibe as KDEN does. Just seeing the undulating runways will make it feel like home.
Video to come this Friday, THANK FOR ALL THE FIXES YOU DID!!! Works perfectly now!
I actually live in Pennsylvania and have landed at KPIT and KPHL many times in real life. Even though I work for IPACS it doesn't mean that I live in Germany
I also work as a government CIO (approaching retirement)
I actually did the entire state of Pennsylvania (FSET -1, Level 15) already but I can't release it to the public. It's almost lifelike in VR.
The Florida Keys I will release since it's a demo to show users what can be done with our SDK tools. I'm just finalizing Marathon Airport decals then I'm fully finished (for now)

OK Kenneth, that looks really good. Nice work
Indeed. Dr. Karl-Heinz is quite the teacher. I can speak for all of us here in saying that it's really nice to see the SDK tools catching on and gaining interest in the way that they are. A very good sign for the betterment of Aerofly.
As some of you may already know, Karl-Heinz (Rodeo) is very much an unsung hero. He educates, assists, and is committed to Aerofly (as we all are), then sinks back into the darkness until the next user needs assistance...Or is that a ninja? Either way works.
He is, however, part of the IPACS team, and like myself, has another job to tend with, yet he is always there when you need him. DEDICATION is the work here.
Here's another teaser from the Florida Keys Scenery - Coming Soon!
Did someone order a package from Key West International Airport?
I'm experimenting with adding street lights (through cultivation) to some areas of the default Californian scenery where there are none currently. It's amazing the difference it makes. Here are three shots from a test flight around Arcata (KACV), California. I know I might lose this in a future update, but it is fun learning all this.

You are a master already
Guys,
what shall I say? I'm deeply impressed about your exceedingly kind words. Many many thanks for this!!!
And my dear friend Jeff, you made me ...rofl... with your ninja story
And now back to our beloved hobby!
Best regards
Rodeo

While awaiting clarity on what files I can or cannot share, I took another stab at cultivating an existing AFS2 area. This time it was from the Swiss DLC. I went to Les Eplatures airfield (LSGC), and added buildings and streetlights in the surrounding area. Here are some before and after screenshots. There are limitations to current cultivation, one could not cultivate an entire country yet, as cultivation is based on an airport-by-airport basis. I have also noticed on my old and weak computer, that many lights make frame rates suffer. Having said that, those of you with whizz-bang machines might not see that characteristic. I see a very bright future for AFS2.

You can most certainly share this. Please package it up per the 'user created scenery' instructions and be sure to add the instructions on how other users can install it into their scenery.
This will be emailed to upload@aerofly.com
I'll then add it to the downloads section.
