Fantastic
Are you able to estimate any timeframe to release?
e.g seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks or months
I fully understand you can't promise anything, just what you expect at this moment

We could give you an estimate but it might be a very rough one.
And I guarantee you that at least three people will mark that day in their calendar and then come back at that exact day and then write something like:
"You promised us Colorado today, where is it". And if it's not that exact day it's a day, a week or a month later. This has happened too many times in the past and people become upset and unhappy and why would we want that.
So our standard answer to the question "when will you release it?" has to be:
When we are done!
Creating high quality products takes time and sometimes the devil is in the details and we have to change our plans. At least then we don't have any set release date and can invest as much time as we need to fix things first. The result is a better quality product and we can still surprise you anytime
And if you follow our Latest News Blog then you can probably estimate a release date yourself Jeff does an amazing job of keeping you guys updated on the latest news, so go check it out, maybe even subscribe to that thread to get notified.
Will these be downloadable from Steam or on the Aeorfly site?
I retired last year after a lot of years of flying for a living and am mainly a P3d and DCS user but I've come to really enjoy Aerofly2. I had a chance to experience it at FlightSimCon and came home and bought it. I look forward to Colorado and perhaps down the road you could do some Canadian areas. Nova Scotia/New Brunswick is one area to consider on the east coast and on the west coast maybe Vancouver Island and area. Thanks for your consideration.
Dave
it will be available in Steam as a DLC
Freebie or payware? I don't mind in the least paying for something good.
It will be a free download!
That's very generous. Thank you.
Dave

As a scenery developer , I have to know...HOW do you do curved runways.
Great news! Mid November. Now come on everybody, let's go easy on them if it slips a week or so. If that happens and we're understanding and don't give them a hard time, then they may start to give us more specific timeframes on a regular basis.
Thanks for the update
Looking nice! Not much buildings over there (outside of the airports) so I suppose you won't miss autogen that much. Imagine there was some cool weather above that scenery... but well, for this region the default (lack of) weather is quite suited, I guess.
Big grin on my face over these screens.
Mid November works fine for me. My birthday is the 18th... So between you all and Eagle Dynamics, it is going to be an awesome birthday for me.
Wyoming next? Followed my Montana? Just having a pleasant Saturday morning fantasy.....

Just logged on to steam and there is a 3.6Gb update downloading. Looks intriguing.

Devs have said that is just the 'setup' work for the new scenery.
How do I get steam to do the updates to Aerofly2? Thanks.
Dave
At the Aerofly FS2 Start screen, Right click, last item is Properties.
Select Properties. 2nd tab is Updates, Drop down box lists your choices for updates and downloads.
